Hi scarlett,
Probably too late for you but I've merged your thread with an older one to keep all the suggestions together.

Hi all,
I need to cook a (fairly posh!) meal for four this week and quite fancy having tuna as the main course. I am happy cooking tuna but can anyone suggest a sauce to either cook it in/pour over?
I made this Jamie Oliver meal a few weeks ago but, to be honest, I didn't really like the crème fraîche sauce.
None of us are particularly fussy eaters (well, I can be, but I can pick out the bits I don't like!) so any suggestions welcome!
I did think about about just serving it with a salad and baby new potatoes but wondered if it would be a bit dry and would be better with some kind of sauce?0 -
Tuna is nice with lime and coriander. You could make a lime and coriander butter and let it melt over the steaksThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

Hi nic82,
There are some lovely ideas for fresh tuna on this older thread:

I'll add your thread to that one later to keep all the suggestions together.

Thank you for your help. It sounds like keeping it simple is the way forward.0

I have stocked our freezer right up with the 10p Tuna Steaks currently in Tesco's.
However OH is getting bored with having it grilled with a dash of olive oil on it.
Can it be poached or does anyone know of any recipes I can make with it?
Thanks.0
