    Hi scarlett,

Probably too late for you but I've merged your thread with an older one to keep all the suggestions together.

    Hi all,

I need to cook a (fairly posh!) meal for four this week and quite fancy having tuna as the main course. I am happy cooking tuna but can anyone suggest a sauce to either cook it in/pour over?

I made this Jamie Oliver meal a few weeks ago but, to be honest, I didn't really like the crème fraîche sauce.

None of us are particularly fussy eaters (well, I can be, but I can pick out the bits I don't like!) so any suggestions welcome!

I did think about about just serving it with a salad and baby new potatoes but wondered if it would be a bit dry and would be better with some kind of sauce?

Tuna is nice with lime and coriander. You could make a lime and coriander butter and let it melt over the steaks:confused:

    Hi nic82,

There are some lovely ideas for fresh tuna on this older thread:

I'll add your thread to that one later to keep all the suggestions together.

I have stocked our freezer right up with the 10p Tuna Steaks currently in Tesco's.
However OH is getting bored with having it grilled with a dash of olive oil on it.
Can it be poached or does anyone know of any recipes I can make with it?
    Thanks.
