I slice it thinly in strips and marinade them in teriyaki marinade then stir fry quickly and serve with noodles and chinese cabbage. makes one tuna steak do for two people
YumIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0 -

From what I can remember about tuna steaks, is a good marinade. Oil, lemon, garlic, lime, salt and peper. Place the marinade into a medium size bag (sandwich bag type of thing), add the steak and leave them for about 15/20 mins. Tuna doesnt take long to cook, about 15 mins maybe? I havent cooked it for a while, anyway hope this helpsI also remember the words of my friends, but I would rather have enemies than friends like you
would like to make it known that ZubeZubes avvy is a DHN, she's not dancing

Hi Konni1,
We have a recent thread on cooking fresh tuna, so I'll merge your thread into it, as it's easier for everyone to find all the recipes in the same place. The posts are listed in date order, so you'll need to read from the beginning of the thread.

Chop some garlic and put into olive oil. Brush over the steaks and bung under the grill. Turn over and do the same. Just lovelyWe all evolve - get on with it0

Undercook them rather than over - if you do them for too long (and that isn't very long at all) they will be very dry and rubbery, but if you cook them for just a few minutes on each side they are just lovely as they are.0
