I havent had many points vouchers either, but every time i've went to Tesco recently I've came out with a £8 off till spit with a min spend of £40. I've had at least 5 of these vouchers, including one when i only spent two pounds
  • I stopped using Tesco about 6 months ago. I rang to complain about a lettuce I had received worth 85p that was crawling. They then brought up that I had been using point codes that did not belong to me and took equivalent to £200 worth in deals off me. I was livid as they had allowed me to put them through. I have since moved my house insurance, grocery shopping, holiday insurance, wine orders, mobile phone contract, tesco direct orders to other suppliers. Best of all they did not refund my 85p, they said I had made quite a few complaints. The goods I handed back to the driver that very same day were also not refunded, they told me that they would double check my order before it went out so then basically I was not entittled to any refund. I did then point out that if I had wanted to commit fraud it would not of been for an 85p lettuce, I would of done it on one of my insurance policies with them. I was spoken to appaulingly and estimate that they lose approximately £700 a month from what I used to spend with them. (I have 3 very hungry wanting boys). I now basically use them! e.g. I have taken out the three month free DVD trial, which off course I will cancel before they start charging me. I now shop at Asda the quality and freshness is alot better, customer service has been marvelous, there is always a free delivery code floating about and when I do a price comparison through mysupermarket.com my weekly shop works out approx. £30 less than Tesco for identicle items. :rotfl:
  • Same here.... I haven't been to my local tesco for such a long time that the sa I know thought that I have left the country

I haven't done an online shop since last year, as there have been so few decent points vouchers around, and I was saving points for a holiday - instead I have been shopping in store, and using as many MOCs as I can get hold of, fortunately my local Extra happily take them, so I get most of my shopping reduced by 30 - 50%, if they stop taking MOCs I will be straight down to Morrisons

Wow I thought it was just me who wasn't buying online because of the points drought. Last time was November. I have been into the store quite regular because my store still allow coupons but I have also been shopping in HB, Netto and Iceland. Watch out Mr.T fighting0025.gif

  • Hi,
Does anyone think that the lack of extra points has anything to do with the Deals they have on offer at the moment VIRGIN HOLIDAYS AND CARS, on a weekly shop and a tank of petrol I dont think that this would be achievable, but if there are many offers of extra points, experts like MSE's will rack up the points.
I have began to hate Tesco's the SA's look down their noses at you, unless you get a teenager who doesnt give a monkeys.
  • I didn't do any of my christmas shopping at Tesco and have'nt done an online for a few months. Still use my coupon friendly store and did just this week do a direct order but only because they had silly clearance prices and I had a 250 point code which is better than nothing. All my extra mailing points are very small too.

once I have enough points for my holiday (end of current quarter). WIll then try and buy basics from Asda possibly online, and offers everywhere, including Tescos if they have a good deal. I am tired of Tesco arrogance in assuming everyone will shop with them, and taking advantage of people not checking prices to sell them goods top whack.
  • Mee too. Think we spend between £80-£100 per week not to mention wine and petrol! Much prefer Asda. Spent £20 in Tesco last week but apart from that nothing since xmas. Have to say don't miss the stress of looking for extra points on stuff and finding items I have a coupon for is great. Only shopped in tesco for the points but with no points there is no point !

  • I am feeling really pleased Im not the only one!

I had set my self a target of collecting enough points for a lovely holiday for my Oh and I to somewhere exotic next year.

So instead of shopping at tesco for the extra points I will shop elsewhere the vast majority of the time and save the money saved in a sep account towards the holiday. The only time I shall use tesco is when I get some good points offers i.e 1000 extra points for a £75 spend (not £100 thank you Mr T!) or extra points on books and direct.

Well Mr T and investors .........suggest you start a - giving the extra points, b - reduce your prices without screwing the farmers to a pulp any more and 3 - improve your customer service "the customer is always right"
Aim to win in 2013 - a holiday somewhere nice, New York break, treats for family & friends & some cash would be lovely!!!
