Lack of extra points Mr T stopped me spending - you?

Options
Just wondered if anyone else has spent less at Tesco in the last couple of months due to the lack of extra points codes?

I Know I have!

I have not ordered any wine since way before xmas as the only one that worked for me was for over a £100 spend, when I normally spend 60 - 70. I have ordered no books and not done my grocery shopping online.

There is also something I want on Direct for £299 but am loathe to buy it within some bonus points.

So with that, and the lack of til splits (only petrol ones since Xmas not happy) I have even shopped at another supermarket.

With the large purchase and all the other things taken into account I reckon that My T has lost about £5 - 600 in total.

anyone else been doing the same...........just wondered........hopefully the extra points codes will be back soon!!;)

Absolutely... not bought any wine, no online shops and only been in store twice since Christmas. Have almost entirely defected to Morrisons now, although will give Sainsburys a shot again... I hear some good things about them these days.
Ah! Good old trusty beer... I hope you never change.

Ive had 2 till spits since christmas - for lemons and tomatoes. I thought maybe it was just me not getting them. I find I get more if I havent been there for a while.
  • Wonder how much longer the extra points drought will continue?

Glad its not just me, and if Mr T ever does read anything on here, Im off to Morrisons to do my weekly shop today for a change!

  • I have had a few. Got 200 on kids & baby clothes £8 spend the other day.
  • My local Tesco has stopped taking money off coupons(unless you buy the product)so since I was told this I haven't been instore.I also haven't shopped online either and haven't done a wine delivery since before christmas.
I think Tesco thought they had it all, made millions, could do as they pleased and people would still flock through the doors. This is going to be a hard year for all retailers Ponden Mill has closed aswell as Dolcis and I think Tesco may be feeling the pinch too. What they will now be feeling is an even bigger pinch as all of us Faithful shoppers go elsewhere!! Aldi and Lidl at one time where a no go place for alot of people but I think shopping trends are changing in a big way with Primark becoming an in place to shop and I think the likes of Netto,Aldi etc will come into their own so watch out Mr T!!
I've cashed all my clubcard vouchers in and have finished with Tesco(short term obviously if they were to throw a few 1000 point codes my way I could be forced into a wine order!!)
  • I agree, I have just come back from Morrisons and sorry tesco add another £120 to your lost revenue to date from me!

I've managed to get a money-off code that would more than cover free shipping on almost every Tesco order, and I think my worst-case scenario was only 250 extra points. I did think about changing for awhile when it was getting really hard to find codes, but I kept looking and found some. Tesco has the best Web site for online ordering, and all of our favorites are already in the system so it's really easy to shop. We don't have a car and getting to a store isn't easy for us. Without the codes, I'd probably still do in-store shopping if we could get to one as I've heard many people on this forum talking about the clearance deals they find in-store.

That said, if it got to where I had no extra points or money off for a couple of online shops, I probably would give Sainsbury a try, as I think they have 2.50 delivery at certain times, which beats Tesco.

i am still shopping at tesco trying to find ways off earning extra points, i ve set myself a task..... to be debt free by 30 which is october 09, and also go to goa for a week using clubcard points, even if i have to pay for my oh... which would save over £600 so im tryong to save points any way....have over £120, fingers crossed will definatley do it
i will be debt free, i will
  • all my online orders since Christmas have been with Asda - always free delivery codes available and better bargains to be had.
  • i am now shopping around more and honestly saving a small fortune thanks to aldi and lidls and farmers markets. Only reason i have been into tescos recently was to return phone i was bought as a present
