Ooooo, I'm looking forward to my next holiday now...at SN's house (or rather, SN's parents' house - you do still live at home, SN?)

He rents a granny annex and has a sporty convertable car.
Just pick up the keys, roll down the roof, let the wind flow through your hair.
Maybe we could ask him to set up a website so we can take turns instead of everyone turning up to crash at his place ;)

If we all started pushing landlords in front of trains, they would stop harrassing us, but society would be no worse off as nothing would have been lost.

I wonder if his landlady is aware of his murderous intentions  Maybe someone should warn her to stay away from stations for the forseeable future!

    The ethical question is this:
Given that the scruffy man was happy to put make the family spend the night on the street and possibly freeze to death, if he went to hospital should the nurse treat him? If he crashes his porche into a tree, should the fireman cut him out or leave him to die.

I think you may have become a little disillusioned here but I think you're taking your anger out on the wrong people.

Strangely your post doesn't mention Gormless Gordon over at number 10 - that guy has presided over the wrecking of a pension system that used to be second to none - I've heard many a landlord/BTLer say that they have bought property to let out as a pension because the traditional route has been scuppered by NuLab. Secondly, why are BTL properties enjoying generous tax breaks when the first home does not? I repeat, the roof over the head of every family does not enjoy the tax breaks that 2nd/3rd /nth homes enjoy which, in my opinion is crazy. And, thirdly, Gormless Gordon removed house prices from the measure of inflation when NuLab came to power. Again, how stupid is it that the biggest expense that most of us have every month is NOT included in the inflation figures? The result is that house prices have effectively been economically 'unregulated' since NuLab got in.

Hence my problem is not with BTLers or flippers or anyone else who has made a few £££ from property but the rediculous Governement policies that have let house prices get completely out of control and the level of debt in the UK to reach dizzying, critical levels.

    Rant over!

    :T

So all BTL landlords are scum, & deserve to be thrown infront of trains, unless they let out their places in a terrible & unsafe condition at below market value. ;)
  • Looks like he's lost all respect ( if he ever had any) from people on this thread then ?

A starving man walks into TESCOS and asks the girl at the bread counter if she could give him a piece of bread because he is starving. The girl tells him to F$$$ OFF! Its more than her jobs worth.

We live in a capitalist society SquatNow m8. Money talks. People invest where investment is profitable. Its not an ethical question. It's simply business. There is a price on all things. Property is no different from the bread and the girl at the bread counter no different from the LL.
