Hi Lady morticia,
Yes he had help before been in a mental health unit , he sees a consultant from that hospital a routine but to be honest he is starting to be usless too, just give him anti depressants and sleeping pill, sorry i cant remember what he on cos he only had them changed jan for the same reason (they said they wasnt suiting him ).
Last thursday i had him on the phone for three hours saying he was cracking up , didnt know what was happening to him etc... i rang crisis team who said that he needed to go through the system again cos he had been discharded from the ( some crisis help ) then they gave me a telephone number i gave that my husband and he rang me back saying they said the number was only for ppl to scream and shout at them they couldnt help him :rotfl:
so in the end i rang the police cos i didnt know what else to do they said they would ring him to check his wellfair that was 12 midnight. i never heard any more till 8 in the morning my husband rang and said police turned up at 3 and took him hospital .
Sorry it has taken me a little while to reply.
The mental health team tend to give a lot of people the run around I find. I think it is good that you rang the police as my old CPN said that is what to do if nobody else is willing to or can't help. Did he have to stay in hospital or was it just to check he was ok? You obviously care about him a lot and I think it is great that you are so supportive towards him.
I hope he manages to get his meds changed soon. It may be a long shot but maybe the sleeping pills are having an effect on the anti-depressants so they're not working as they should? That happened to me once.
Sometimes people in the mental health team like to pass the buck. I've been tossed back and forth quite a few times. I've changed doctor and now I'm getting the help I need. Shame there are too many patients and not enough doctors to help them though. Managing to get an appointment is atrocious sometimes.

Awesome. That's supposed to be a really good film.

Hi Everybody:wave:
One of you told me last night that you'd OD'd 3 weeks ago, and when you mentioned this to your family GP he told you off, and tried to make you promise not to do it again. Not helpful. Am not suprised you felt bad and guilty.
You told me that you wouldn't ring Samaritans because they would only try and stop you trying to kill yourself.
May I reassure everyone that Samaritans would never do this. Sams give confidential emotional support for people experiencing feelings of distress or despair. Everyone has the right to make decisions about their own life, including ending it by suicide. It is important to help a suicidal person feel empowered and in control - that way, they are less likely to self-harm.
IMHO Sams are as good as counselling or psychotherapy but without the wait. And calls and emails are never traced, so you don't get anything on your medical record.
Take care everyone

Heya.
I find that sometimes sleep makes us even more tired than we were in the first place.lol.
I really want to see The Game Plan so I might buy it when it's released on dvd.
What type of guitar do you play? I really want to learn to play acoustic.
