I have a petite star zia which is really wide and suitable for larger toddlers.
Not sure it would be worth buying new as he may not get much use out of it

My DD walked everywhere from the age of 20months, never used a buggy, her brother (22mths) however is slowly being weaned out of his buggy lol! x

I can understand that most 3 year olds shouldn't need a buggy, but please remember those of us who have 3 year olds with health problems who need buggy's!!!!

It is very frustrating for myself as a parent with a 3 year old with a severe heart condition, to be looked down upon as these items are greatly needed, as on the outside he looks completely healthy but can't do things that healthy children can!!!!!!!!!!!

The fact also that we cannot get buggy's that will hold children over 15kg without having to pay a fortune adds to the frustration as we shouldn't have to label our children with special needs buggys that make them stand out in a crowd.

Thats completely different Rower, children with health problems or conditions obviously can`t do as much or any activity a healthy child can.
I imagine most pp`s are referring to healthy children who have no problems with mobilisation x

hi op... i now how difficult that can be... my DD is 2 1/2 and she is a petite mini rubgy player hahaha.. she is slim but still weights a lot and quite tall for age (1 m)... also has long hair and everyone thinks she is so much older... she loves walking but i only use the pram when we are on holidays as we walk all day long and that is too much for her. although she doesnt complain you can tell.
i have a chicco stroller and the poor thing looks even bigger !!! and yes, she does look a bit ridiculous.. i bet people think i am strolling a lazy 5 yo !

This is an old thread btw, so the OP's child is probably not using a buggy now.

Fair enough a 2 year old should be able to walk a mile or two, but the only mums of 2 year olds I know who have dispensed with the buggy are those who have a car, so their children never have to walk to their destination.

What if you are going to be out during the child's nap time? what if they're exhausted after swimming, but you need to go shopping 2 miles from the swimming pool?

Mine is 4 now but I would still hire one of those car-pram things at alton towers I think. That doesn't mean he's an inactive child who uses a pram at home.

Really, is using a pram any worse than using a car? I wouldn't dream of taking him to school in a pram but am amazed at how many parents who live closer to school than I do don't walk their kids to school.
