Morning all,
Not on as early this morning, time ran out as I had an 8.30 doc's appt before work.
Had smoothy for first time, see Kefir thread !
Day punctuated by 2 sessions in work, plus the fact that MIL is having cataract done later and needs picking up at some undetermined point later on.

Morning all. Beautiful sunny day here and it feels quite warm out, I have three loads of washing to peg out in a moment so am hoping they will get dry.
Massive <<<hugs>>>> and birthday wishes to Smokey. Love and hugs to everyone else who needs one.
I've just put two bags of old shoes and clothes out for a charity collection so am hoping they pick them up today before they fall over and spread their contents all over the road. More tidying and cleaning on the cards today, then I must toddle down to the postbox and post a birthday card to my friend whose birthday I forgot today.
Lunch is tuna and pasta salad and I'm making lamb jalfrezi with mushroom rice for tea, am trying to clear out the fridge ready for the supermarket trot tomorrow.
Have a good day all.

PS scuzz, I saw Equus in London with Daniel Radcliffe and Richard Griffiths. Thought it was incredible but as you say, very dark and thought provoking. Hope your back gets better soon. x0 -

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SMOKY:beer:
So far today I have hoovered and polished the living room, tidied the kitchen, had my bath AND in the process of baking a batch of Macaroons...all this and it's only 9.35am:T
After the macaroon are done I want to get a batch of choc chip cookies done too. This site is a bad influence....I see all these lovely recipes and just have to try them out....still no-one here is complaining:rotfl:
Hope everyone has a good day and I'll be back in between checking oven to see what everyone else is up to.£2 savers club. No.90. Aim £500.0 -

Sat here with the LO at the moment, hes turning the baby toy box out, but its keeping him happy so that keeps me happy too. Not much needs doing here, did a big clean yesterday so everything looking spic and span downstairs at least.
WM about to finish, and i need to get some veg together in the SC for tonights dinner - stew and dumplings. Its freezer surprise stew again this week, ive taken a tub with some sort of meat out of the freezer, and i have no idea at the moment what type it is (think its chicken at the mo, we will see!!!)
((HUGS)) to anyone who wants or needs one, ope everyone has a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Morning all
Hugs to those in need.
Happy birthday Smokey - fingers crossed DH is on the mend.
Not been posting for a few days, been feeling a bit down as it's 5 years ago since a good friend of mine died suddenly at the age of 41, been making me have a little ponder on life in general (you know how it does). Anyway after all that thinking I'm no clearer in what I want to do with life...so shall just carry on bumbling through.
Belts need tightening even more now as we've just lost CSA money from ex, £180 per month down as they've decided that he no longer needs to pay towards his own children but needs to pay for the upkeep of the ones his new girlfriend has (they're not his)- seems wrong to me but hey ho. Have managed to clear nearly £500 from ebay this month though which has near enough cleared my credit card - got some quidco money due next week which should clear the rest and that will save me a payment each month. Still waiting to hear about our claim for housing benefit, each letter they send seems to be really accusing, "why have you not claimed before now?"....we didn't know we could..........."why have you not sent everything we asked for?" errrmmm you didn't actually ask for it........."why don't you have proper bank statements?" ........errrrmmm cos we opted for paperless internet banking....and on it goes.
Went to bed with a headache last night and ended up with a proper old fashioned fever.......couldn't get warm, goosebumps and freezing all night although DH said I was hot, clammy and delerious.....woke up about 4am in a cold sweat and felt much better....just feel a bit achey now - no idea what that was all about!
DH has half day today and has said he'll cook, he's posting the last of the ebay stuff too bless him.
Anyway - sorry for the rant - not a lot of OS in there was there."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
No but if you edit your post and say you've scrubbed the toilet all will be forgiven.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0

Morning all....................(((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) if you need them, have not read the thread yet, will do so in a mo.
Donny Gal, glad your OH is back with you and you have a diagnosis, vertigo, not nice, but I am sure they will be able to help him with medication. Have a look see at the internet.....
Nice bright morning, but windy, the lady opposite has her washing out and its dnacing on the line. I don't know where she gets it all from, there is only the two of them and the line if full most mornings.........the though of all that ironing uuuuuurrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhh...........no thank you.
Nothing planned for today, might go for a walk later depneds on OH, but I really must get at my sewing sometime today, its been sadly neglected these past couple of weeks.
Cauliflower cheese and jacket spuds for supper tonight, have enough syrup sponge left for tonight and tomorrow........
OH just made a cuppa so better drink it............
Edit: Smokey, have as good a day as you can under the circumstances..........sorry there is not an improvement with OH, I am thinking about you.
Any one who wants to borrow a ggggggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr help yourself, the insurance company do not seem to realise what they have done, transferred the money yesterday to the savings account.......we had a reply from the ombudsman today, they are asking us to give WL 8 weeks from the date of our letter to sort things out..........why I really do not know, the money was due 2nd Jan and when they paid us it was £60 odd less than it should have been.........whats difficult to understand in that.............I have also contacted watchdog, when you phone WL you have to wait ages for them to answer the phone, so its not just us thats having a problem.
Rant over, I am off to make the bed and tidy my sewing ready for a session later in the day.............Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Hi everyone. Took DD to drs and apparently BP was down as being 146/99 last week. This week it has dropped a bit, but the dr is sending a letter to her consultant to get us a quick appointment (due to the possible consequences of high BP) And dr has also told DD she has to try and lose 10% of her body weight-so she's thoroughly peed off about that. Gonna get OH to fetch treadmill home today (we have one leaned in a corner at work). I wouldn't mind but DD does loads of exercise and is very fit-she is talking about becoming a pe teacher and is choosing PE in her options next week!!!
We just have to wait for her appointmentr to come through-will know more when we see consultant.GE 36 *MFD may 2043
