Oh yeah - I love a bit of pink!! My sister already had a pink DS and we didn't want to mix them up so I got a white one  . I've seen a gorgeous pink laptop that I would love though!!
Thank you for everyone's brithday wishes. I went for a nice meal in the evening with some friends and my boyfriend. I also got another £10 from my auntie and spent £30 of my birthday money on a pink (:o ) Jane Norman skirt today. My boyfriend's parents also got me a freeview box for when I move out ( no Sky for me).
I have got my magic wand now too. It's got pink fur on it too so we will see if it brings me any luck with my competitions. Speaking of that, I will go and do some comps and questions now.

Have been working flat out on AQA over the past couple of days and managed to get £200 so not too bad.
I NEED to do 100 questions a day this month. I've already done 50 today so halfway there.
I received my £300 Toys R Us vouchers through today and am going to be a bit naughty and by myself a Wii. I see it as a little birthday present from my dad from up above - the vouchers were a prize so it won't cost me anything. With the rest of the £300, I'm going to buy Ellie's birthday presents and maybe a couple of DS games.

Hi Emily,
I have a Wii, they are great fun. I'm really tempted to buy the wii fit, but thats £70, so not sure.
Well done with AQA, you're doing brilliantly.
Good luck with your £20 a day challenge, £620 is a brilliant amount to be earning extra a month.0 -
Emily I love reading your diary, every post is always positive and you are working soooo hard to clear your debts, you're a star
Could you tell me roughly how many comps you enter each week? I am really hit and miss at it and haven't done any again for a few weeks

I second that - I may not post much on your threads/challenges, but find them truly inspirational.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

DFW Nerd # 166 PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTS0 -
Hi everyone
Been busy recently with work and Ellie so haven't had much time for money making. Plus I am spending far too much time on my Wii and now have a very aching arm!!.
I didn't spend all my vouchers on the Wii, I also managed to get £50 worth of birthday presents for Ellie. I managed to resist buying her an outfit yesterday too and have decided that I will get a few items of clothes that I no longer wear, sell them on Ebay and get her a gorgeous outfit from there (new of course) that will be half the price of the ones I saw in the shops. Very DFW of me!!
I have also bought a cookbook from the book people at work which I will get tomorrow. It was only £4 and has loads of great, basic meals to make that will ease me into cooking from scratch. I have been lurking on the OS board and will be making my first meal for my boyfriend on Saturday  . Having lived with my parents most of my life, I am not very domesticated and need to be for when I move out  .
I am torn between a cottage pie and spag bol (very exciting meals :rotfl: ). My boyfriend looked really worried when I told him I was cooking for him. He is going to get the ambulance on standby.
Tonight I will be answering questions (not even reached 200 yet  - a lot of catching up to do) and entering some comps inbetween (one question = 1 comp).
benbenandme - all the comps that I do are on www.theprizefinder.com - I enter them via closing date (ie will be entering the ones that are closing tomorrow, today so that I don't miss any) and would say I do 50-100 a day depending on how many are closing.
I don't do any text comps anymore as they are far too expensive. The only ones I do are the ones that come off my free text allowance on O2 and any 10p ones where there are lots of prizes available or a certain number of prizes a day.
I don't do anymore postal comps as I can't afford to spend that much on stamps. I only do internet, email and the text comps that I mentioned now. I am a member of a comping site but will let that expire in June/July and not renew it.
I'm getting good at this moneysaving lark :T .

Wow Emily - you're really going for it girl!
I was ridiculously spoilt by my parents when I lived at home and as such I am now a hopeless cook 7 years later! (Oh is in the kitchen knocking up a curry as I type after I opened all the cupboards and declared we had nothing in to eat!) x x
