  • September's a long time off yet, Twinklie, so things may change (are you covering maternity leave? There's always a chance the lady won't want to come back after all, or someone else may leave resulting in a switch round of responsibility). I know you already MS - how's that going? Do you have visits booked in for half-term, or are you taking some time to recover as much as you can?

Awww I'm feeling all loved now! :D

She's defo coming back - unless they win the lottery. Still, I'm sure like you say something will come up. I've no MS's booked in at all at the minute. I've given myself a few weeks off what with OFSTED and open evening etc...to recover from the illness as well.

I don't do any MS's that make much if any money...but I do get some free food which helps I guess. :)

  • Hello Twinklie,

I am sorry that you are having such an uncertain time. But what is really positive is that you have worked hard to reduce your outgoings which will help you a lot in a dodgy work situation. Keeping my fingers crossed for you,

Glad to hear your tests were ok, was concerned that you hadn't come back and posted. I hope everything works out on the money front x

Thanks again for the concern folks. I'm trying what I can to get sorted on the money front. Phew. Still, I'm too tired to worry about it tonight and I have another busy week ahead of me! Doh! Perhaps Saturday I will consider my options a little closer.

Technically I could stop getting my hair done. But that gives me confidence and makes me feel presentable. Something I feel is important in my job. :D

  • Don't stress yet love. You will in all likelihood get some marking this year, or perhaps a bit of tutoring. It seems daft ton be considering anything else when you are working so hard.

It is sometimes easier to cut back than earn more, but i would not give up anything that affects your self confidence as if that goes then you might find doing the job hard. I am happy to cut my own hair now, but i would not have done so when working.

I know I know...it doesn't help that we booked our 2 week holiday back to the US for over christmas AND got the dog. It wasn't quite meant to work out how it has...but I wouldn't have it any other way. Now we've got most things for the dog hopefully our outgoings should come down a bit on that score...we shall see. lol

Bit of a stressful do. My contract for the assitant curriculum leader role came through on Monday. It said until 31st August or until return of the post holder...whichever is sooner! Cue lots of panic given I was told it was until 31st August NO MATTER WHAT!!

I emailed my HOD about it who forwarded it on to the boss. They won't go back on what they said (I have it in writing now!) and will be contacting HR! I will get the money till 31st August NO MATTER WHAT! Phew! Especially with the rumblings that she might return at the end of March! Phew!

Aside from that...still nothing much of interest to report. Was looking at tutoring but I just don't have the time. Part of me would like to though. We shall see.
