I'm stuck on a fixed rate mortgage at 5.35%....gutted! Still, fixed rate is nearly over and hopefully rates will stay low for a bit. We shall see though.

6.29% here :eek::eek: Fixed until next March too (yes, I have checked 'ditch your fix' ;)) I had to renew while I was still doing my PGCE and didn't have a job yet so felt I had to be careful. It was just at the time the economy was begining to go t!ts up too so didn't want to get myself in a mess

Good luck with the job hunt you know, there's still time before May deadline. It might be a good idea going for 2nd in dept though if that's up for grabs

I know you feel life is a bit of a trudge right now, but you're doing great you know

Awww thanks honey. I little encouragement is always welcome! :D

I'm starting to feel a bit better about things at work now. Not least because all but me and one other in my rather large department have been off sick this week. Fingers crossed I escape the bug!

I just need to get through the next day at school then it's the weekend. Then only 4 days before EASTER! Yey. I will go for 2nd in dept job...but it's not one I'll relish with my rather difficult department. Fingers crossed I'll be ok.

Homemade chips and fish supper! Yummy. :D

I have a stepometer!!! A free one was sent to me so I'm going to try and beat my daily total every day for a while. Todays total will be tiny because I've only just put it on! Ha ha.

So fingers crossed I'll hit in the region of 2'000 steps tomorrow as a starting point. We shall see.

Well I truly under estimated how much I walk in a day at school. I did 7'600 steps yesterday. I won't beat that today but hopefully I will tomorrow. Then I'm going to keep a record of what I do at school next week. I want to hit 10'000 at least once a week.

A little bad news today. Yet again it looks as thought DH will be losing his DJing job. This could be a bit of a nightmare because it means we won't be able to see each other every week. Fingers crossed it won't happen...but this time it's a very REAL possibility. :(

I'm sure this list looks worse than it is. I know I'd done quite a bit for school next week already...I just need to double check things and make sure I'm organised. :D

Hopefully the student teacher will be back next week so I won't need to teach my year 9's so fingers crossed that's all sorted.

I've been looking at mortgages as well. Our fixed rate doesn't end till October next year (I thought it was a little sooner), but I thought I'd look and see what standard fees etc are and to whether it's going to be worth switching our mortgage. Thing is, with it only being a small mortgage I'm not really sure what to do with it! Maybe I should wait till I can give it some proper thought. It might work out that just leaving well enough alone is best. Fee's seem to be £599 for the most part.

DH finally got home at 2.35am this morning!! So we managed to spend ALL day together today. I also went for a walk round the park with my mum, and then to the inlaws with bro and sis inlaw and the little nephew! I can't believe he's 8 months old already!!! Managed to do 9'548 steps so far today!! 10'000 is actually quite a lot I've realised.

He really makes me want one. BUT I must be sensible about these things. Fingers crossed we'll find out tonight that they have no intention of sacking DH from his DJ job now there is new management. If they do, life will get much more difficult.

DH is also at the hospital tomorrow to see about his elbow...hopefully all will be well on that front. Only 4 more days till Easter holidays for me....not that I'm counting!!! :D

    A very random day.

My friend has found out he is the father of a 5 week old baby girl - a result of a one night stand!
And I've applied for a job in Wales...although I REALLY don't think I'll get it! Ho hum.

Time to put in pasta bake and make sure I know what I'm doing at school tomorrow. I'm ok for all but 2 lessons which I need to quickly check I'm prepared for. Might even check I'm ok for the last day of term as well!!! SHOCKING!

I've only got a little bit of coursework to mark - handing it in tomorrow and some year 7 reports to write! But I reckon I'll crack on with the report writing shortly!!

I'm not hopeful about the job because it's for a physics specialist with a physics degree...I don't have a physics A-Level let alone a degree!! Still, my DH's landlord works in that department and he said to apply (despite knowing my background)...so we shall see!!
