I want to get her a pamper/spa type break. However, I've not a clue where to start. Any ideas anyone?

Already much more productive today. Washed all the pots, given the kitchen a bloody good clean. AND I've made meal plans for the week and sorted out my shopping list. I've put a wash on too!

Just actually need to shop now...cue phone call to mum. Gives us a good excuse to meet up and natter. However, I'm pooped. So quick break in order me thinks.

It's my birthday on Sunday, I hate my birthday. I'm hoping to sleep through it. Lol. Trying to think of something to occupy my OH so he forgets....then I won't be paraded round peoples houses etc. They never remember anyway.

Oh dear God. It gets worse. ETS are now saying I've not met the deadline to return the scripts. DESPITE me sending them back BEFORE the deadline! IDIOTS! I can't cope with them anymore I really can't.

Why do computers make life more of an effort than they should? Hope you get your scripts sorted soon.

I'm also in the middle of degunging my kitchen, doing a little at a time as get bored but hopefully will be clean before dh and dd get home so they can make it messy again!!

R.e pamper day for your mum, do you/she live near a college that does beauty treatments as you could get more for your money and still have a good day. The college I work at also has a lovely restaurant so you could get something to eat too.

Hmmm....my friend did that with her mum at our local college but they didn't enjoy it there at all! We do live in a bit of a chavy town so I think thats probably why. Good idea though.

I'm thinking I'd like to take her to one with a sauna and whirlpool etc that we can chill out in. Hmmmm....we shall see I guess.

Also, 1st wash is dry. Second is still washing...although now I look at the clock it surely must have finished by now. Hmmm....

I've walked to sainsbury's and shopped. Unpacked the shopping, walked to town and gone to the market to buy veg etc. Also went to far end of town to pick up the OH parcels. Then walked home.

I'm now collapsed in a heap about to pass out! HOW HOT???? Nobody told me it was that hot outside. I would never have decided to do all these jobs if I'd have known how hot it was gonna be. ICK! Not good with hot weather.

Feeling productive. Thrown out all the unneeded paper waste from my PGCE, and started tidying the office. MASSIVE job.

Also called insurance folks and updated my name and occupation with them. So hopefully my quote which is due later this month will be mucho cheaper. It was pretty cheap to start with though. Once I've got that I'll have a quick shop about before renewing though.

    Phew....I'm pooped!

And after doing my research online, looks like I can claim JSA while I try and get a job for over summer. Not sure I'll get one at all with me going away for a week and already having a job for September, but it's worth looking I guess.

I started doing the same thing last weekend. Was so careful not to throw anything out I thought I could ever need ever again but still the recycling bin was piled high. Loads to do yet too.

    What are you trained in?

Regarding JSA, do you have a job lined up for September, I've been wondering if I could claim anything too
    Updating soon...
