    Hi,
I have just up-loaded my house details to Clive's site. It was very easy except trying to condense my details down to 3000 characters; it took a bit of midnight oil! The facility to show ten pictures is superb.
I think Clive’s offer was a genuine and generous one, ok so a lot more of us know about his site as a result. That's clever business. How often have you worn a cap or badge etc. with Nike or something printed on it because you got it free at some show or other?
I don't understand the people who knock this sort of offer; quite frankly it is worth £89 to possibly avoid paying the agent £4000 in my case and even better to get it free.
Keep it up Clive I hope your site succeeds.

    Steve R.

p.s. Where do I go to vote it as Money Saver Tip of the month?
    :D:D
If you lend someone £20 and never see that person again.
It was probably worth it.
  • Hi Martin and all good MSEs. I took Clive up on the offer of listing with Search4Homes.co.uk and I was/am extremely impressed by the site and and how easy it is to use. Well worth a visit folks and I might even do you a small (MSE) buyers discount as well - Try Huddersfield apartments! Once again thanks Martin and Clive at Search4Homes.co.uk - KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. ::)

The https://www.property.sell.co.uk website that was offered by Paul is no where near as good as Clive's site which was problem free and Clive was very quick to respond to questions I had.

property.sell didn't work and when I emailed them on the 6th November with details of the Fatal Errors it kept coming up with when I tried to input details of our property, we are yet to receive a reply.

  • Hi Fiona,
I have no record of an email being sent to me with any problems, i notice on your post that you have put property.sell not propertysell, we had a couple of initial problems when the site first went online, these were corrected within 24 hours and since then our feedback has been excellent. Our error logs for the server are not showing any fatal errors and we check these on a daily basis.
Please contact me again with the problems you have experienced and i will try and iron out any problems you have had using the site.
We are listing 10 new houses a day on the site and have had no problems whatsoever with the listings.

  • Sorry to report I've had an awful experience with search4homes...

Signed up to the Silver package on 23 Nov and emailed msepromo@search4homes.co.uk to claim the £30 rebate. It seems I should have emailed BEFORE signing up, so OK I'm willing to accept that was my fault

Anyway, by 3 December I had not received any response to the message and neither had my property appeared on any of the 3rd party sites :( I emailed the main address and got a response from Clive (promptly, to be fair). He explained how I should have gone about getting the £30 rebate and said if I emailed him my MSE username he'd send the cheque. Which I did. He also apologised for the technical problem which prevented my property from going onto the 3rd party sites. This was resolved within a week or so - not great, but at least I was getting somewhere

By Dec 28 still no cheque and updates I'd made to my property description had not propogated to sites like Assertahome. So I emailed Clive.

By 18 Jan there was STILL no response and no cheque. And I had dropped the price of the property but updates on Assertahome had STILL not taken place. I emailed the main address about all of this

As of today, STILL no response. Just phoned the number for search4homes listed on the Assertahome site and it just rings then goes dead

Doubtless, the estate agent will now sell the property before I manage to privately, costing me around £3000. :(

I feel I've given search4homes every chance to sort things out before 'going public' with my experience but those chances have not been taken

If any of you have more positive feedback on this company, please post it to balance out my criticism. My personal advice would be "stay well clear"
  • A good site that really is free and user friendly is https://www.homesonsale.co.uk It allows you to post photo's and communicate anonymously with potential buyers.

It worked very well for me, and found a buyer quite quickly.

I do not have a financial interest in it.
