My mail generally gets delivered at about 2.30pm. You were really lucky for a while to get your post at the same every day but things change! My mail used to get delivered at 9am, now it doesnt, i'm assuming because the route has changed. Its not really the end of the world

I know its none of my business what he gets up to, but it is his job to deliver my post and I dont feel like I'm getting very good service due to this. Its my opinion and I'm entitled to one it may not annoy you, but it does annoy me to think my post is sitting over the road for up to an hour when it could have been delivered.
Thats just who I am, I would rather get the job done properly and then go for a break. Obv. he doesn't think that way and thats up to him. It just bugs me0 -

Does it happen to coincide with the end of the postal strikes? I don't know what the final deal was made with the union, but I do know the staff were encouraged to "start taking full meal break entitlements, rather than skipping breaks to finish early".
Just an idea - I'm playing Devil's Advocate, not attacking you

He may well be having his break. I used to work for PO and depending on which round you were occasionally had a cup of Tea from a customer, or pop off home for your break on occasions.0

But the point is he does deliver your post, maybe not at a time that that is convenient to you, but never the less you do get it! I'm sure everyone would love to have their mail delivered exactly when they want it but unfortunately thats not how the system works. The postie is entitled to a break, just like everyone else. The post has to sit somewhere while he takes his break. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

Would you be bothered if he was taking a break that you did not know about?
I don't know why you think that your post is more important than the postman's right to a break.
Do you never take breaks?Gone ... or have I?0 -

then pop across the road, introduce yourself and pick up the post yourself. result you can be on your way, postie has one less delivery to make

That's what I was thinking. If you are waiting to leave the house anyway then simply ask him for your post.
I do that if there is something I am waiting for and they have not delivered by the time I leave - it has never been a problem.0 -
The postmna is paid is paid to do a job so he should be doing it which is to deliver mail, granted we dont know what he does in said house but its not his job to pop in on his employers time, id complain to be honest but dont mention your name,No Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20
