I do know what you mean...
I don't use a business account ..I use a personal one and my accountant says thats perfectly acceptable...I keep my tax and holiday savings in seperate high interest accounts within the same bank...and do my tranfers on the internet between accounts..
I guess you own your cab as you pay insurance..do you have another driver on it?
Me and my husband run ours..I do days he does nights...
This site is the best place I've discovered and is so friendly. You'll become obsessed as well ..lol..0 -
I will need to open another savings account with the RBS. No way am I paying the charges that they have for a business account again.
I do have my own car. I just work it myself at the moment. Sadly the guy who did Saturday nights for me died at Christmas. I am still getting over it tbh.
I am off the mind not to get anybody else as I have did 4 Saturdays since the New Year and taking into account the £300 less my insurance is I reckon that if I had someone working for me it would be the end of April before they had given me the same ammount of money. If I do one or two a month I will be making more. Hard to do them when you are used to going to the pub.
Who is your insurance with?£2 coin/ £460 -
Paid £90 into the bank today during the day and have another £55 to go in. I've never paid in as much at the start of the week. It's only covering bills that are coming off but it's a good start.
Wish every day was like today.£2 coin/ £460 -
Hi busytoday - welcome to DFW!
Sorry to hear about your friend. You seem to be making great progress already. My OH is a taxi driver too so I know how hard it is to budget when your expenditures are so high.

Sorry to hear about your mate..its awful when things like that happen. My insurance is with TFP ...mines a £1000 thats fully comp and includes replacement taxi policy and is for a brand new vauxhall vectra...I always get mine through my broker.
Only had my badge 3 years ..DH had his 27 years...but 3 years ago was the first time we owned a cab and as you know you start with no bonus...so I don't think it's too bad.
You will find paying in everyday will stop you spending it and will reduce the o/d quicker...as interest is calculated daily...0 -
You seem as though you're doing pretty well and getting a handle on your spending/income sheets, which nicely for you seems to have a lot less spending than income. As long as you're sensible with the rest, the debt should reduce fairly quickly
and you'll soon be looking on the "Savings and Investments" part of the forum.
Anyhow, I'm sure I called your cab firm 15 minutes ago, and they said you were just at the top of my road.DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

I am £716 for a Skoda Superb also a 57 plate. That is just for me but does include protected no claims bonus. Very few firms offer that for taxi insurance up here. I have 8 years no claims bonus and couldn't handle losing that. I think I was £1400 for my first lot of insurance when I first started.
They were wanting £2000 for renewal when I had a claim pending for a bump that wasn't my fault. Protected no claims is a must for me now.£2 coin/ £460 -

Early days mate, I won't be so good most weekends but as you say I am getting a handle on it.
Your cab should be with you by now, he's just turning into your street.£2 coin/ £460 -
