  • Result there in the post. Shell loyalty points card thing that I have lost. One voucher for £11.50 's worth of free diesel.

I'll be getting another card when I am in.

  • Went to Tesco there for my weekly shopping. Less than £40, I would normally be just under £70. Didn't buy any beer either. I also used the fuel voucher and saved £2.30 on £51 of diesel. Went to local shop and got bottles of Irn Bru for 99p they were £1.40 in Tesco, another £1.23 saved. I also found 3p lieing on the ground outside the shop.

Going to make a roast dinner now that will do me 3 nights.

There you go ..you're becoming a true DFW going to different shops to buy things...it's amazing how easy it is to save money when we try....
  • I would normally never bother to do that in the past.

I am getting right into it. I am looking forward to getting back to work tomorrow and getting the money for the Tesco card together. I owe the dentist and the flower shop £46 as well. Heed doon a**e up this week. Might do Saturday night as well if OH is still fell out with me.

  • Phoned Sky there. I got the next three months for £29.50 instead of £38.

I am going to cancel Sky Sports at the end of the football season. Hardly worth having it apart from the Champions League. The woman on the phone was very helpful and it was nice not having to deal with someone in India.

Hi BTM, just caught up with your thread, you sound like you have really got the right attitude and doing well. From the heed doon comment I am wondering if you might be a fellow Scot, I'm in Aberdeenshire "furry boots" you fae? Are you forgiven by the OH yet?

Onywyse keep at it and yer deein great.
  • It was quite poor here today, I kept at it though and had a reasonable day. Managed to pay the Tesco Card on time as well. I also paid an extra £15 to the minimum payment. I am now £53 less in debt than I was this morning.

    Good feeling.

Poodlehorse I am from North Lanarkshire. Near Cumbernauld. Total blackout from the OH. This will probably be at least a two week fall out. As we don't live together I don't really care.

Just read your thread and you are going great guns, nearly £1K paid off already.
First question - are you tackling the Tesco card first because it has the highest interest rate or because you want the buzz of paying a cc off completely?
Second question. Have you visited www.whatsthecost.com to see how quickly you could pay off the debts if you snowball?
Good luck with it all. :)
