oh didn't notice that - think you are right -must be just using the bread mix as a bread mix iykwim that has been tested!
still some nice ideas even if you have to make them 'by hand'0 -
I don't know if it's any use to anyone, but I've just come across this:

It's a new panasonic for £55

Thanks pipkin71 - The lovely lady selling it has agreed to hold it for me until the weekend. I can't wait!some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0

Worth looking on ebay at the moment, too - although the slightly used SD255 I have my eye on (finishing today) is already up to a price which makes it worth waiting for a new one, there are a couple of the earlier SD25x models available if you search under the misspelling "Pansonic"
Not in as new condition, but very cheap
Sorry if anybody's already posted the above - as I don't have a Panny yet I haven't been taking an active part in this threadOperation Get in Shape

If I want to use honey instead of sugar, is it a straightforward swap (ie 1tsp honey in place of 1stp of sugar) - does the honey go in last (classed as a wet ingredient)?
Also where some recipies use milk, should I warm the milk slightly as the water I'm adding is warm. Just though that adding cold milk is going to upset the balance of the temperature of waterand we all know how temperamental bread makers can be to this

Hiya
I only slightly warm the water or milk that goes into my breadmaker if I am doing a 2hour fastbake. If it is a 4hour standard bake then I dump it all in cold and let the machine do its magic.
I haven't a clue about honey instead of sugar, I can't imagine it would be a problem, the only thing I can think of is it might make the bread taste abit different. But not sure. Is it because honey is better for you than the sugar??

not sure reallyI use brown sugar anyway, but wasn't sure if honey was just a bit "purer".
I've been adding warm water to my long bakes - is that a problem then?0 -
Hi Jenny,
Any liquid added to the breadmaker should be tepid and not cold. Warm is fine as long as it isn't too hot. You can certainly use honey to replace the sugar if you wish to.

Thanks pink.
Are both runny and solid honey ok to use or is one better than the other? I assume it's not classed as a "dry ingredient"?0
