like ihave said befor i will pay any monies back just dont want to lose my house it is a houseing !!! will houseing benefits take it back off them
You have no worries there. They will claim the money back from you so as long as you can negotiate a reasonable and manageable repayment plan (the CAB will be very helpful if you visit them), you will not lose your home. In fact your landlord will not even know you have this issue unless you tell them, and you have no need to do that.0 -
Was he receiving EMA? To be honest it is very unusual that you did not get a phone call or letter from the Student Liason Officer very early on in his non attendance history. Is it possible your son intercepted the letter/calls.0

I think you need to clarify that he hasn't been attending for the whole 14 months. It isn't exactly clear, only that you are being asked to repay the whole amount. I would want to make sure everyone is working with the full facts and there hasn't been a communication blip.

Its highly unlikely that they will evict you from your home (if thats what you mean).
You will have to repay the overpayments made and I would imagine an agreement can be made.

Because you think that they will take you home. I doubt very much they will or even can.
At the end of the day its only money, yes its money that you owe but all the worry in the world will not put pennies in the bank.
Try to take a step back and relax a little ~ be honest with them and make an offer you can afford (not one you cant).
Do you have a friend or family member you can take with you?
Who exacty have overpaid you? HB, CTB & CB?:heartpuls baby no3 due 16th November :heartpulsTEAM YELLOWDFD 16/6/10"Shut your gob! Or I'll come round your houses and stamp on all your toys" The ONE, the ONLY, the LEGENDARY Gene Hunt :heart2:0 -
once ur son was 18 and if was registered as the college as studying and not turning up ( from my college days - thou it was a few yrs ago), once the student became 18, the college dealt with that person as a adult and they would be responsible for any communication, between him and them
as the other posters have said, you really need to contact CAB urgently, b4 the situation gets out of hand, and contact the college as anytime b4 your son was 18, you were legally responsible for him.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
