Pigpen - you'd make a fab GP (i'd be so scared to come back i'd have to get better!). Seriously, go for it. You never know where their foundation course will take you. I did my level 2 human biology with the OU last year, found it difficult but rewarding. My courses now are more practical to help me change where my business is going rather than because I didn't want to do more theory based stuff. Good luck with it.

No cleaning done. Bit of tidying, bit of this, bit of that. Need to think about tea now.

Why are colleges so inefficieint? I took a health and safety qualification that I had to have last year. I've just heard from the governing body that I never completed it. So how come I have the certificate right in front of me as I type!!! Ok, I am calm, I am chilled ......

I wen to asda and a bloomin Tree Branch!!! fell on my car! I saw it ocming down but couldn't do anything as there was traffic on the other side of the road, tried braking but it still landed on the bonnet and windsceen. There doesn't seem to be any damage but I think I iwll be writing a letter to the house who's tree it is. It's full of dead wood that should be removed and it overhangs the raod (which is where everyone parks to get the kids from school), every bit of wind and there is dead wood that has came off it.

And DS1 was a little bum hole in asda.

Kettle is on :coffee: all round, feel free to unpack my shopping, I can not be bothered.

Lights are flickering now, great, better look out the candles.... and post this before power goes out....

Thanks for the cuppa Tia, pleased to hear there is no damage, I sent DP out yesterday to cut the garden bushes back so noone gets lashed with them when they walked down the path. Oh and pigpen I agree with the others, go for it, you can always change your mind with what you want to do with the qualification later.

Does anyone want to adopt a relative? I don't want mine any more! Now after all the hassle/texts before accusing me of trying it on with her boyfriend 11 years ago :rotfl: wouldn't mind if he was in any way my type etc FAR from it. With all the don't try to deny it etc etc. God she's so annoying.

Roofers, well 2 out of 4 have turned up. Both with different explainations as to what is wrong, will see what the quotes come back as. Worth a giggle to see how different they are. What's the number for Rogue Traders? :rotfl: just incase.

Right, didn't do much of my list but now completed ALL of the computer work for the assignment now so just the write up bits to do.

I have a mothers day cup cake, a card 'hidden' in my stash cupboard which DS2 tried to show me, he's useless at secrets! I think it's lovely that the children are encouraged to do them in school, especially for Mam's on their own or who have ignorant partners (like mine usually, think he's bought me something once) Unfortunately reminded me I haven't been and bought anything for my Mam but I do have a nice smellies set and some matalan vouchers in my stash so that's a possibility, she's always in matalan.
One day I might be more organised...........

Hi everyone,

will have to type very fast as I am supposed to be cooking... I flew around all the house this morning catching up. I did in fact have a call for work, but woke early with a blinding headache, and just couldn't face tackling any more interesting or challenging children without industrial strength painkillers...

So, instead, I woke my own perfectly delightful DS1, who nearly had a heart attack when he realised it was only just gone 9am - he's been a bit bad about getting up recently, and I wanted him to fit in three meals today as well as the afternoon in school. We spent a bit of time going through some of his Product Design work, and he actually got some done.

Meantime, I cleaned the cloakroom and the bathroom to about Level 3, vacuumed all the downstairs, swapped all the cushions round on the sofas, dusted and polished etc. Washed a load of clothes, and two loads of towels, tidied and vacuumed all upstairs. Just the uniforms to put in tonight, and one load of towels left to dry.

I also got around to ordering the hedging plants to put along the boundary - actually part of my neighbour's front garden, but she's quite happy for me to do it and share the cost. I've been wanting to put in a mixed native hedge along there for years - wish I'd just gone ahead and one it while the property was empty.

pigpen - Absolutely, go for it. I'm pretty sure that there are lots of options and directions to go after, just go for it. I shall be nagging you to see if you've filled out the application!!
It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be
• Evening - had real trouble motivating myself today, so consequently have not got anywhere near as much done as i hoped for or expected. But, can't help that now. Will maybe try and do some more pottering this evening and see what can be done.

i think it is cos i had most of the morning free, and it just got frittered away thinking i had more time than i did.

[quote=JillD;vanilla - todays school bag yielded a 31 book token for the book fair - but I fully expect the books to be extortionate so a wuid won't make too much difference.

It's very rare I use my book tokens at the book fair - I tend to spend them at WHSmith or somewhere like that. They usually do book that are just £1 for World Book Day.
