likklegibbon, do it your way or no way. All I wanted when we got married was a quick registery office thing, me wearing a plain simple dress then a meal for the family, thats it, no reception (as it would only end up in a big fight). Ended up being a bloody farce of a half baked ceremony in the registery office, a meal and then a reception that we couldn't afford, I hated it. I honestly have no good points about my wedding, I was talked into something I didn't want, the reception was auful for a bride who doesn't drink, everyone just got drunk. It came time for the 'first dance' and I think it was my bro's friend who picked the song, no idea what it was! Then I tred to slip away to our room about 11pm but the groom was more interestied in getting drunk.

Then they all wonder why I am not fussed about my wedding reception, why would I be? It was a horrible day. Don't get talked into something you don't want, you will regret it.

    Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Hi everyone, hope you are all well.

I have done very little today been at course and one of the girls in the course knew the wee girl that died at the crash, she was so upset.

The match last night what can i say, what a score :j

Me and hubby had a big bust up last night (well 1 this morning), he had the music going and it woke me up and it's just all messed up, phoned his nurse today who said they would ring at 4 but haven't bothered. Really dreading glasgow now but i'm just gonna get on with it and show the kids a great time, really should get the suitcase out and packed.:rotfl:

Jill we got a letter yesterday about the book fair and the kids have to dress up as someone out of a book and we are not to buy an outfit but make it.

    D&G hope your feeling better.

    lg big congrats.

Right i'm away to look for this suitcase.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Thats horrible Tia, why do people do that:confused: Both my hubby and i are really stubborn and strong willed and would have put our foot down, but luckily my parents( who paid for most of it) were fab and basically said, 'its your day, what do you want?'. Wouldnt have liked to have to fight about it:eek:

vanilla hope you have a good time regardless

pigpen wish I could complain, programme itself has been used by maths and engineering peeps for years, it's just me that is useless :rotfl: maybe I was trying too hard

Spent last half hour phoning round roofing companies, seeing if I can get someone to come out sooner and cheaper for landlady, see if it can be done without going via insurance by a cheaper quote. I know she's had her own struggles financially and don't want to put extra pressure on and her put the rent up. See I am a nice tenant really :D Anyway they are all 'very busy' must be clapping their hands with all the extra work, few are phoning back.
One day I might be more organised...........

Just screamed at DS3 for being rude to me I'm sick of it.

Major rant so please feel free to ignore!

So it's not just me! I've just had a major row with my two and i'm on strike (how did I get to be so grown up!). Every night they have to do 5 mins of maths (I usually just make them run through a couple of their times tables), 15 minutes of reading (I make them do 5 as they're both very good readers...they usually do more before they go to bed out of choice but they don't have to) and 5 minutes learning their weekly spellings. Every day I get the moans, the groans, the 'I don't know what to write in my reading record book' etc.etc. I know most children are like this but i've just had enough.

On top of this I expect them to put their own plates in the dishwasher, I expect them to put the mats from the table away, and their school stuff away. It's not like i'm a tyrant. Well, in a very grown up way i've just picked up all the stuff they've left around and thrown it in the corner of the dining room ... with a laminate floor it made a lot of noise, :rotfl: . I think i've shocked them!

Do I feel any better? no. Now I feel guilty as anything. I know it's just life but right now I just want to stop the world and jump off! (I don't mean that literally so don't worry).

    Ok rant over!

    :D
