Have finally completed all of tuesdays list, has taken 2 whole days. In the end I abandonned decluttering and emptied the entire room (minus the bed) into any other available space and then cleaned everything left. Bed room is immaculate. Sadly can't say that about the dumping ground that is the rest of the house. Put back into the room everything that had to be there, including my beloved husbands not so beloved train set. Lost the plot eventually, assisted by several glasses of wine and spent last night randomly shoving anything I couldn't be bothered to put away into the wheelie bin prior to losing the will to live. Not sure thats quite what a fling boogie is but I improvised.

The dining room is another matter. To clean it I need to persuade the cleptomaniac I live with to part with 2 x 3 seater sofas, cunningly wedged either side of the dining table making the whole dining experience a bit of an assault course. Its not like we have a shortage of chairs in this place, theres another 3 seater sofa (yes we have 3), a 5 seater sofa, 3 arm chairs, 3 easy chairs and the kids chairs. Vacuuming is an art form!

Since it appears normal to post your personal tasks for the day here goes (haven't figured out how you cross things off though *thanks tiamia*):

Feed hens and clean out 4 chicken sheds
Get kids to school on time
Put up notice board at school
    muck out friends horse
2 loads of washing to do and hang on line
phone call to find out price of sheet metal
trip to bank to pay in schools cheques and collect float for tomorrows cake sale
    housework and lots of it
    collect kids from school
    bake cakes for cake sale
    put horse to bed
put kids to bed (having remembered to feed them something other than cake mixture)
    ironing
    paperwork for PTA
planning for next weeks PTA meeting
work out where to put the friend whos coming to stay tomorrow
Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.50

Moomoo, you can use the button at the top, or just use teh HTML tag, which is...

[ s] type what you want crossed out here [ /s]

Take out the spaces first. you can write strike or just s, it's recognises both.

    Afternoon.

Put the washing on the line and decided to weed and tidy the bed by line - it is the one I can see from my pc so looks much better - I think I'm avoiding ebabying.

Moo2moo you are doing great keep looking at what you have achieved and try not to loose heart - every little is a step in the right direction.

Making a hot choccie - doing really well with no tea and very proud of myslef. Why do other people try to convince you to give in? Try cutting down instead - no I'm an all or nothing kind a girl.

ORF update Soappie the camera has moved so I can only see the road and not your driveway now - have you arrived home?

  • Still haven't got through all of the posts - haven't had much time to be online the last couple of weeks and have really missed the banter tho the house is still tidy (haven't had time to mess it up!).

Have managed to get something done tho - have booked the register office for getting married - Mon 1st September, 2pm.

I was adamant I didn't want to get married on a Saturday and needed to do it before school went back so my sister and niece could be there.

Want everything no-fuss and low-key so going to local carvery for a sit-down meal and need to find a local hall for the evening do, if not it'll be a house party with a tent in the back garden at ours.

Any suggestions on keeping things stress free? (I'll be going on the wedding threads as well for some more MS advice).
    I'd rather be watching CSI!
