I've still not eaten chocolate...just forgot to write that. In a dilemna though as my dad buys me a posh bar every couple of weeks, really, really nice stuff. Do I just eat that as it's not as much as I used to eat or do I ask him to stop? Mmmmmmm......there could be worse things to worry about lol!

Just to stop you worrying and to be helpful - post it to me and I'll eat it for you!:D

Ok so my HHC turned into over an hour (the Lenny Kravitz album length to be precise), putting some music on helps me get motivated for some reason. Well in that hour I vacuumed the bed and floors and underneath the bed, put fresh bedding on, sorted a load of cloths, ironing piles are now a little neater too. Also sorted 3 junk boxes (still not unpacked from moving in September) into 2 junk boxes of stuff that still needs a home. Cleaned all surfaces DVD player and TV, polished woodwork and mirror and sorted a couple of make-up/hair stuff drawers.

There is still a bit to do in there but it looks so much better it is amazing. We always use our room as a dumping ground now we dont have a spare room to do that, whenever people come round we just close our door and nobody is allowed in but the rest of the house looks ok. At the moment though that is probably the best room in the house except the bathroom which never really gets messy.

Must get on and feed the children though as their dinners are later than usual as I got a bit carried away and they will not be in bed by 7pm tonight now:rolleyes:

  • Hi everyone!
Just thought I'd squeeze in a quick post before I disappear back to school for our Parent Rep meeting.
I agree with the book fair comments wholeheartedly (and I work in a school!!).
OK-all fed (Spag bol), DD1 and DS have done homework AND DH has noticed that things are looking better in House of Ginger! (MUST be obvious!!)
This evening its ironing with the lovely Hotel Babylon and depending on how long the meeting goes - a HHC in the bedroom.

Back from swimming, kids all fed now - my dinner in the AGA. Hitting that slump time of day.

Mudbath - don't ask your Dad to stop. Sadly one day he may not be here to do such a lovely thing for you and trust me your life will never be quite the same.

I have told DS about going to the charity shop for a book. He said but I want the simpson one - let's hope they have one - if not DS2 does and DS3 has not seen it! Peer pressure or what - he can't read a simpsons book!

I never realised what an awful mum I was. DD has a swimming badge tomorrow. She's just come down stairs at quarter to seven in the evening and told me she needs to practice her forward rolls in the pool before tomorrow. Now, funnily enough, we've not had the private pool put in the back garden yet. She really doesn't see that her request is unreasonble. I am officially being unhelpful and it will be my fault she fails her badge.

:rotfl: Juliejim - now why didn't I think of that! My dad has just told me that he's won a chocolate lovers hamper from thorntons and wants to give it me! You couldn't make it up!

Aw dusty that's a lovely way to put it. Right it's official, I can eat chocolate my dad gets me but not buy it myself. He really does love getting it me and he's not allowed to eat chocolate but I always have to give him a square to try. See Juliejim - I couldn't send it to you with some missing now could I?

Right, i'm off to dig this swimming pool!

  • Well kids are in bed, will give it 15mins to check it says quiet and then crack on upstairs.

I managed to find the form I needed 2 mins before leaving - quickly filled it out - took it to the office while I was waiting for DD1 and they were closed! So that one can get sorted tomorrow - although did manage to sort DD2's preferred days for August term onwards - do I did get one job done!

My car is in at the garage tomorrow so I am just off to sort out car seats before it gets too windy again. I think I have managed to figure out a way that everyone can get where they need to be at the right time - fingers crossed anyway.

*yawn* can't be bothered - ok big coat and shoes...

    Have a nice evening everyone.
