:rotfl: Oh my goodness! Two hours!!!! No, it'll drive me nuts!:rotfl: My dd loves playing. She's 8 and just adores it but I have to say it drives me mad when she plays before school, after school, bedtime...all the time! That's why i'm getting it tuned because it was driving me mad. The piano tuner keeps hitting one particular key and it sounds like he's hitting a metal pipe with a hammer. I need painkillers...what an awful job!

Oh been there with the book fair, my sons haven't been at the new schools that long so don't know if they do them yet. The last one I argued with the HT about it as a governor, the minimal profit made by the school is so small yet the parents felt they were doing loads to contribute which then put them off across the rest of the year for the many other fundraising things they did. What I did was took the boys to the charity shop, bought DS1 a book he wanted which was originally £6.99 and paid 50p then directly donated the £6.49 to the school just to prove my point. What amazes me now is DS2s school is no less a school, do just as many things, have just as good facilities but they haven't done one 'fundraising event' since he started there, his old school had something on every month but never seemed to do anything extra with it apart from use it to pay for things that previously came out of the schools usual budget like prizes for competitions they chose to run etc.

Right both boys home, still trying to get out of going tonight, working on it, kids want to but in all honesty I just can't be bothered and it's always a lot of work for me/us. I come back home exhausted then by the time I get the boys up to bed, car unloaded etc etc I then have to start making our dinner at about 10pm, if he goes alone I can make it ready for when he gets back. Dentist said DP has an infection under the filling he had so has given him ABs and told him to go back in 2 weeks if no better, it'd better be better because he's driving me nuts!
One day I might be more organised...........

It's amazing what you can do in an hour and a bit. List updated below. I have also:
    • Done two WM loads - one on airer in kitchen, other still in machine but may go out on the line depending on the weather forecast so it can dry there overnight
    • Put BM on
    • Swished and swiped kitchen and loaded dishwasher
    • Taken meat off chicken carcass and bones are now boiling for stock for chicken stoup tonight
    • Replenished bird food in feeders in garden
PIGPEN can I request that you make tomorrow the living room day please? It badly needs something doing to it...

oops - fell asleep with littley, luckily DD1 is at her friends for tea.

Chicken marinated and thrown over chicken drumsticks will pop in the oven in a minute. Gonna have a HHC at 5pm so that I can rehoover the lounge and the bits of HM playdough that have dried up from this morning. Put the ironing away thats in our bedroom and get the rice on for the E F Rice later.

May have a coffee too but will make it decaff or I will be tossing and turning at bedtime (and not in a good way;) )

Book fair - I have managed to avoid the one they have had so far. Went to the xmas fair and it was so chocablock you couldnt move round to look at the tables. That put me off the bookfair as the hall is just too small to hold all the parents and kids - safety hazard alone! They do regular tombola things where parents are encouraged to send prizes in. The xmas one was pretty good and each year had different things/colours as the theme. Foundation was chocolate, year1 was blue item, year 2 red items etc. The fundrasing is so school trips can be funded and they had a pantomine theatre come to the school and stuff so worth while stuff.

    skintscotslass - YEAH Everton!!!!

ashbart - are you thinking about the UEFA cup final? G&B might have something to say about that as well :rotfl: :rotfl: Oh and Dusty is a Spurs fan I think. Dunno if we have any Bolton fans on the thread? The ballot for tickets is still on going. I'm too feart to go into the ballot for tickets. I'm so superstitious! I'm sure if I got tickets, Everton would be skelped by Fiorentina!! :p

Well the new DW arrived and once I borrowed the mole grips from mum and dad I managed to hook it all up and it is now running on a quick wash. So fingers crossed there are no leaks and then I can push it under the work surface so I can get dinner on the go!
