Hi all. Just having a well earned lunch break.
Master bedroom is all finished apart from sorting the wardrobe out - going to do a little bit each day instead of attacking it all at once.
Got to investigate the Romans for DS school project this afternoon - he came home yesterday and told me his teacher said it had to be in this week however we knew nothing about it. Saw his teacher today and it turns out it was given out on a day when DS was at a hospital appointment. Don't know why the teacher couldn't leave it in his tray - always worked for other teachers but this one is useless!!!!
Sorry to rant but this one really winds me up.
No flying tomorrow off shopping. DH just gone to China for 2 weeks so no questions about how much money I've spent. Bliss.0 -
Afternoon all
Two loads of washing already dried on the line! And the cats blankets are out there now. Put the machine on for an empty load after with vinegar to freshen it up and get rid of the hairs.
Dusted living room and computer desk. Vacuumed right through downstairs and did the stairs (will do bedrooms tomorrow).
Made cottage pie for dinner and some flapjacks while the oven was on.
My computer had the blue screen of death this morning when it had only been on a few minutes. Did it on Sunday too. Hate that. It's not very old, I'm sure it shouldn't be blue-screening yet.
Anyway, I put some of DD's college work onto a CD just in case it dies on me.
Good health to anyone who is ill, good wishes to anyone having a hard time.0 -

Hi
I haven't done much off my list today as i've been shoe shopping for Ds2. I went with my sister and we are complete opposites, she loves spending money and i hate it:rolleyes: I'll only buy something if it's needed. We went to brantanos where i got Ds2's shoes and she bought a pair of boots. Then we went to Next where neither of us bought anything. Then we went to Boots and she wanted the No7 day and night creams which were £20 each:eek: but she decided against it, then said she doesn't know whats wrong with her she didn't want to spend any money. I said she's been spending too much time with me;)
Pigpen how's your bum today?

I love this thred! I have seen it many times but not read it fully! It sounds like a great way to manage your housework! As a working mum of 4 and now single parent I feel like I am always doing housework but the house never looks any cleaner! I might give this ago next week if thats ok! But will be collecting tips and doing as much as I can the rest of this week!0

galantvr4 you could try these links that PW posted on another thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=8833645&postcount=3
pigpen, ever so cute bunnies, wish I could have some again, there is loads in the rescue in babies but last time we had Megan and a bunny Megan pulled the door off the hutch to get to the bunny, so not good idea!
judi welcome, hope you find the thread helpful. With children I have accepted my house will never be spotlessly tidy, to be honest we'd have a pretty boring life if it was, but clean is another matter. Accepting and acknowleding that you do a lot and what you do is all part of what I have foudn that will help the most.
I'm considering having a please sit on my roof party, well both of them, house and conservatory because the wind is making me very paranoid. Chunks of the house roof have come off (no tiles just the plaster stuff) and the conservatory roof is moving a LOT, I'm a bit worried that the light which is attatched to the roof beams might fall off that the mo as it keeps moving lots and the fan keeps going round! I might just have to close the door and try to ignore it because I am fretting too much.....
Sitting room done, vacuuming done, been and got Ds2s new keyboard (decided will have to put up with the other, it's only because the letters have come off which will only happen again) kitchen tidied, wash load off airiers and next one is on.
DP at the dentist at 3,45pm and if his mood doesn't improve after that think I might have to take more drastic action. Downside of course is I will have to drag DS1 with me to get DS2 so will take longer, he hates the wind. One day I might be more organised...........
