My cat just found himself a mouse!!! They must be waking up from their winter sleep.. so what did he do?? .. dumped it under the kitchen table!!!!!!!!!! He is a monster... why can't he take them outside and chew their heads off???

Thankfully I caught him and managed to get it in the bin before he got himself riddled with worms or worse!! It is a good job I'm not a proper girl!!

Hmmm... must be the weather. I came home today to a dead bird in the bathroom and the landing covered in feathers. But that happened last week as well (it wasn't the same bird, I got rid of that one, I'm bad at housework but not that bad  )

Of course you can do it Michelle - just one day at a time. And remember that good enough is just that - good enough!

I did the kitchen properly today, just couldn't cope with the guilt. I didn't however finish the living room as planned, as I was gardening again, and got back at 2.30, absolutely shattered, just had time to have lunch, pick up the children and then do the weekly shopping.Oh well, there's always tomorrow evening. I'm supplying tomorrow, and Thursday, in the same school. Funnily enough, I'm feeling all butterflies again, even though I've been there before.

Have a happy day, and I'll catch up tomorrow!! (I overuse exclamation marks too...)

Shut thine trap woman or I shall lick your dog biscuits and wee in your basket!!

Actually.. they closed the nursery because they think one child has worms.. !!!!!!??? ... why don't they do that with head lice.. oh.. cos it would never be open.. then they washed the floor.. the toilet bowls and the sinks.. they didn't do the toilet walls, cisterns, loo roll holder.. they didn't change the sand or the mud outside.. or the playdough.. so the actual point was?????????? As a result I had the 2 munchkins at home creating havoc all day and 2 baby bunnies to cuddle.. and my mother had spent 5 hours here today.. and has nagged me to go to pub with her now!!!!!!!!!! .. I don't think I could cope!!!!!!!!!!!

uhm... worms are easier to get of than head lice are they not?
  • Thanks for the warm welcome guys :D

I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment so I thought I'll do the HH thingy that someone suggested which I presume means I run round like a nutter for half an hour? Will do that straight after this post. All I've done since I got home is empty and reload the dishwasher :o

I'm going to post the Wednesday thingy below that I found on a post a minute ago, and I'll have a bash at some of that tomorrow.

Grrr my husband has just sloped off to bed, I am left to do both the night feeds AGAIN. He was at the pub last ight after feeling rough with the cold all day, had 4 pints, felt dreadful today at work - wonder why  - but still managed a "strategy meeting" at the pub at lunchtime. I said "so I suppose I am doing all the night feeds then" and he said "well I really don't feel well". What about when LO was about 6 weeks old and I was feeing her 3 times a night whilst on antibiotics for a chest infection and getting up for the school run???

Hiya everyone, I done the living room today as it's the easiest room and i had an exam to do which i passed :j well it's not over yet have another one to do near the end of the course but i'm so glad it's over for now.

Plan tomorrow to do the bedroom when all kiddies are away and i actually have some peace to do it. Then plan on some baking.

Solway great news on promotion, big congrats.
    Skintscotslass big Ger's supporters here.
Mudbath great news on the course.
Pigpen lovely pic of the bunnies.

Right i'm gonna head to bed, hubby thought it would be a great idea to sit up all last night:confused: sure sign to me that things are not well, hoping it will pass and our weekend away will pick him up abit. He went to bed early enough tonight so hopefully he'll get up at a reasonable time tomorrow.

Dam dog he's barking flat out, must be freezing cause it's the only time you hear him.:rotfl:

    Night night everyone.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
    :j :j
  • right, caught up. Also sorted DS's bag to go to sisters tomorrow. She went through so many nappies today. Might actually have to order some more as the lot i bought before xmas are being used up quickly.

pigpen have you got a new bunny? Don't remember reading that, but as i am reading for speed most of the time you never know.

shell hope DD2 is better soon and you don't miss too much sleep. I am so glad that DS just seems to sleep it all off, and just to make sure my sister dosed him on calpol before bed for me.

lil-me just shut the door on the conservatory. Might be worth reporting to your landlady though as loose cement can then lead to a leaky roof and mould. That's where all our problems with mould in DS's room came from.

serena thanks for the support. Glad to see you have some more supply work sorted. It must seem a lot easier now you are back in the swing of it.

julie - not attending the show at NEC. I have enough of school through the week without anything else.

    List for tomorrow:
    • [STRIKE]packed lunch made[/STRIKE]
    • load car
    • drop DS at sisters again
    • form time - send y8 to an assembly, try to make appointments with last 2 students before parents into school day on Thursday, start printing out grades for interviews, check the attendance certificates are there for thursday
    • y11 lesson - use the gained time to find a starter for y7 lesson today, plan y9 lesson, also mark y9 test
    • teach y8 - remember to collect in h/w
    • break detention for any that forget
    • teach y7 -collect in h/w
    • photocopy 7/8/9 test marks and give to technician
    • mark y7 h/w
    • teach y9 - collect in their h/w
    • do detention with y10 and y7
    • make sure room is tidy ready for parent interviews
    • pick up DS
    • bed and bath time routine at mum's again
    • bring DS home
    • cook dinner
    • ironing

Yes.. but it is a little hysterical and a total over reaction IMO.. some of the parents were carrying on like it was cholera!!!! One little boy was really frightened begging his mum not to take him to the doctor.. surely it is simpler to go to the minor ailments thing and get a bottle of vermox.. one spoonful and they are dissolved.. honestly is there really any need to frighten the poor little things?! (children not the worms!!) .. it was probably one some child had dug up outside and dropped in the loo for a laugh anyway!!

I've found the easiest way to get rid of the head lice is to shave said child!!
