    Morning all.

Oooooh, it is nice working from home, means I can sleep in a bit :D

Anyone feel the earthquake last night. I didn't - I was fast asleep in my bed. Several people though, about 5-10 miles east of me are phoning in saying they felt something and we're on or near the south coast....

Right, better get dressed - City Link could arrive at any time and I don't want my first meeting with  Buster  to be with me in my nightie.....

    Morning all

Another fun packed day here today! W has an appt to assess his fine motor skills this morning. Fortunately it's only in the next village, he's sat in our bed eating brekkie and watching TV at the mo.

The new DW seems good so far lil_me but I have only had it on a test wash so far, will report back with full results later ;) Different racking system though which will take a bit of getting used to.

My complaint letter arrived yesterday (did track n trace) so feeling pretty good about that and counting the days to a reply.

Just read about the earthquake. I woke up just before 1am to a loud bang and W woke as well. It must have been that, wow!

  • Morning all.

Like soappie we're on the south coast and we didn't feel a thing fom the tremors, must have been scary for those on top of it.

Didn't manage to read the thread yesterday as Tuesday's are my worst day of the week, but did get the bedroom done to a degree.

Made leek and potato soup whilst doing last nights tea, so tea this evening sorted, just need to get some nice crusty rolls to go with it.

Hope everyone is ok and has a great day whatever you are all doing.

DS1 has a high sleeper and was literally shaken out of bed. Hubby and I have a rickety victorian bed and I was shaken out.. hubby said the Vorlons were landing .. yes dear!! it was pretty scary if you were awake.. only one reported death so far but hubby is already rubbing his hands together at the prospect of more work lol!!

about 5.5 on the reichter scale wasn't it? I'm SO glad I do not live in Indonesia I couldn't cope with that on a daily basis!!

  • I feel so bad, never realised someone died due to the earthquake, would never had made a joke otherwise.

  • We had it too. The earthquake I mean!
We slept through it in our house, but my brother and some of the mums at school were woken by it. Rather scary how high on the scale it was.

Given up trying to catch up on the thread so hope everyone is ok.

Will there be another mission tomorrow for the mystery parker? I don't think I did any work last Thursday just kept refreshing my page on here waiting for updates! What a sad life I lead.

Not too bad on the flying but could be better (sounds like my school reports!!!!) Been cooking lots though. Sunday made Banana Loaf, Jam Tarts, Mince Pies, Sausage Rolls, HM Bread. Hubby decided (I agreed but didn't tell him) that the bm bread was still heavy even cooking in oven. I found a recipe in a trusty old cook book - soooo easy, and it tasted dh words 'just like bakers bread', now coming from my dh this means I should open my own bakery!!!!!! I have been really good and made a loaf each night, got some fresh yeast from MrT so I think that prob helped.
Will try to make one tonight but I am going to a Pampered Chef party at one of my friends. Anyone been before? Is the stuff expensive? My biggest downfall for spending is kitchen bits and bobs, I just can't help myself. And as I am trying not to spend it will be hard.

Hope no one was too affected by the earthquake and have a good day everyone.
By the way, does anyone know how long fresh yeast lasts? Thanks
Need to sort my life out! :T

Good morning everyone :D Well a chaotic morning with DS1s taxi turning up 15 minutes early and I haddn't managed to get him dressed by then so was a bit of a mad dash. Winds seem to have thankfully calmed down, need to put some credit on my mobile to phone landlady about the roof.

Bedroom day here, but have to wait for DP to get out of it, so did the kitchen (tidied, DW, wiped down, washing machine been on and emptied) and will do some study time next.
One day I might be more organised...........
