Hi Lurkio could you add me and I'm aiming to do the whole month with no alcohol.
My difficult time is always around 8pm, thats when I have my first glass. I sometimes last untill 9pm but then I talk myself into having just one glass (which ends up being the bottle). Im going to plan to go out as much as I can at first, cinema or just out with the dog. Happy new year everyone I'm really glad I found this thread!

Oh Polaroid!!!! I'm sorry you are feeling so down and lonely, whatever you hear next door I can guarantee not everyone will have a great night- most will argue with their loved ones, others will say things they regret, there will be some violence and aggression, and most will hit the setee feeling dreadful tommorrow- probably all day swearing never to drink again. Being cosied up with your little daughter getting ready for one of the last days of the holidays sounds like a good place to be tonight. You are not missing out on anything, if anything you are gaining something- OH will come round eventually, its just such a stupid time of year and people say stuff they don't mean and things kick off when they shouldn't. Don't worry, you've got lots of friends here and a family who love you- it doesn't get much better than that. Take care.
