The "hmmmmm " purely denotes my lack of confidence in getting 31/31 although I know I've got to do it and hopefully will....

    I hope you do too.

Even if we don't hit target, I still take the view that any number of days out of 31 is better than 0/31. I hope that doesn't sound negative, as if I'm setting out to fail, it's my way of not throwing the towel in altogether & hating myself if I slip up.

Good point wb. On that note, I will change my sig from 0/31 to 0/0. Makes it look more positive, rather than looking like I have mountain to climb :)

    Ta!

Totally agree Winebox - I would have fallen at the first hurdle I reckon without your WOMO idea due to a big New Year Lunch I go to on New Years Day with my family. I know it would be perfectly possible for me not to drink at this event (and many of you are going to prove this one) but in truth I don't want to not be able to drink at something like this. Sorry if that is just a cop out but 15 days out of 31 is a massive reach for me so I will start with that and maybe work up to more for Feb (if I go for half the month in Feb too I only have to do 14 days :rotfl: :rotfl: )

Anyways Im waffling now:D can I raise you Winebox on your weight target. I am going to go for 8lb and also add a moneysaving target in too of £5 per day I am off the pop therefore a target of £75. I will put the money in a pot and then decide on Feb 1st what to spend it on:j :j (and no it wont be a Laithwaites delivery:o :o )

btw all I am working hard today too.......................opening my Next delivery packages:cool:

    Have a great day everyone

GP I looked at your blog....have deduced you're a bloke then (it's the height gives it away....)

    Yeah, guilty as charged.

I'm pretty active in terms of the gym and stuff. Bit of indoor climbing, regular gym stuff. But the beer and the rubbish food destroy all of the good work I do.

If it wasn't for the gym, I'd probably be twice the weight I am now.

Off to get my missus from work now, and we're going to the pub over the road for a quick bite to eat. It's usually at this point I'll persuade her to drive back, and I'd have a pint. This time I am going to buck the trend, buy her a brandy and coke, and order a big, butch lime and soda for myself.

I shall even drink it with my little finger in the air.

And if there's nothing vaguely healthy on the menu I'll wait until I get home for food.

YM "can I be a RAJ"? - sounds like delusions of grandeur, sah! Course you can mate, you've a tough time coming up, if what's left of my memory serves.

NTC OK we'll shift a stone between us at least. Typically, I can't decide how much to put away in £s per day as at usual prices is £8 a day for 2 botts wine, but got some "bargains" (I know, Bis, I know....) for only £3 for xmas! Guess I should make it £8 to be realistic. Even more MSE....am not going to buy any new clothes until can fit into all I have (currently only in 1/10th of them).

GP you write very amusingly, I have such a mental image of you with that soda & lime. Little finger indeed!

No doubt I'll be on the usual :o couple of bottles tonight & tomorrow. Going to Dad's flat tomorrow to start the big clear-out which is pretty stressy; in view of our AFJ efforts am doing it tomorrow instead of Saturday so as not to jeopardise my chances too early in the month.

HOWEVER, have just been doing online food shop, no alcohol in sight (despite all those fab offers.....), as not buying any wine have spent a bit more on what's important (that'll be food, then) so have loads of ever-so-healthy stuff turning up Friday afternoon ready for The Big Push (I blame you for that phrase, Shoppy, ouch!). As trying to lose weight no junk food no chox but some better-then-usual fruit & veg (orgasmic, even!) etc etc.

Gosh I'm blethering. After Dad's tomorrow am at OH's for NY so prob. not near a PC tomorrow.....

so Happy New Year all of you. May your final flings (where applicable) not be too OTT, may you AF-ers not find it too difficult, & see you here on the 1st.

'spect I'll be back later tonight after all that xx

See, i'm back already. went down to start dinner & thought....this is my last evening in my house this year. So, tonight is my last WOMO drink! And, it feels good! (not the drinking!! I've only had one glass!!!) - I mean, the prospect of AFWOMO....will put my worn-out wineglass in the cupboard tomorrow morning & there it shall stay.......
