Don't feel cross with yourself Molly (although I've done the same on many occasions ), it's a glitch and see it that way. Today is the start of another long abstinenceDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
I would still rather that than doing mine!! I work full time and I hate it, it is super boring! I am at work now, minding reception over lunch, off to Asda for some cat food on my lunch break, we have two 8 month old kitties and they are eating us out of house and home!0

Does anyone else feel really annoyed that they can't have a drink? It keeps coming over me in waves and I get really frustrated!! It kind of seems like a life sentence  The main reason I had such an early night last night was I just thought what's the point in staying up if I can't have a drink - Pathetic or what!0 -

I've only had this job since November last year, worked for 10 years in an office over the other side of London, left home at 7.30am in the morning and didn't get home till 7.45pm at night, was practically a part time mum as I only saw the kids at the weekend. It was quite a decision to take a 13K drop in salary  but my sanity has resumed and I don't feel half as stressed as I used to....well that's until pay day then I panic for a full month over whether I'm gonna survive!DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
I think the older I get and the more I think life is not about having loads of money but about enjoying your life, it must be lovely to be able to spend more time with your kids, especially since they are so young, I worked part time till my daughter was 10, she is 14 (nearly 15) now  OMG I am getting old lol and I wouldn't have missed her growing up for the world!0

I totally get you! That's why in the AA they say 'one day at a time' cos if you think any further along you'd go mad! Just deal with the craving one at a time (she says )
I have suffered panic attacks in the past when getting a craving. The only way I can describe it is having a tight chest, thumping heart beat, clammy hands and pure panic. It was so 'loud' in my head. I kinda pictured myself curled up in a ball laying in the middle of a tornado, the noise was deafening. The only way I got myself out of it was to imagine (god, this is gonna sound like I've gone loopy) a huge hand coming into the tornado and picking me up and putting me down outside of it. I'd then look at it and think 'what's the worst can happen?' By not drinking I'm not gonna die, not gonna suffer illness, nothing bad can happen by ignoring my craving.
Right I'll get me straightjacket :rolleyes:DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -

My DD1 will be 16 next week  and it's my birthday today (don't tell anyone), I'm the grand old age of 36, no longer in the good 30's, I'm nearer to 40
