Very glad to be un-hung-over'ed this morning, DS got up raring to go to open his new lego set he got for his birthday yesterday, it has got to have possibly more than a 1000 tiny pieces which make up a police station including jails and criminals with tiny handcuffs, vehicles and policemen. It said from age 6-12 and as he is 6 he needed me to help him put it together. I've just help him build (or rather he's just watched me build ) a helicopter a police car and motorbike. I can just see me doing that with a hangover huh??? Gotta get on with the actual police station now, my eyes are not as good as they used to be (or my patience )
Wishing you all well for an AF day.
WB, hope you're ok hunny xxDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
hey guys, wish i had logged on last night. how did everyone get?
some great positive stuff on here at the mo. isnt it a bit easier when you feel you have support.
i havnt really got anything to say back to the AA stuff. personally i havnt been but i think as everyone is different and although the addictions can be the one thing in common; i think that addictions can be highly complex and no two peoples addictions are the same. sure, we all recognise the similar feelings but all the roots of the problem and the road to recovery is going to be different for everyone. and i dont think you can just brush all alcohol addictions under the same roof.
hope everyone is good today

Not in this house unfortunately........was determined not to open a 2nd bottle but did . Didn't finish it - dunno if it's because i'd had 3 AFDs but the wine knocked me for six last night - didn't get half-way through the 2nd bottle & fell asleep & have got BLINDING headache today v rare for me. Glad I've not got 22 mini party guests Jo! Good luck!!
Seems unfair to feel so rough having had less than usual.
Off to OH's later, without DD she has a sleepover, will not be AF this weekend but will try & exercise damage limitation (esp with this head!) & then back to it Monday. I'm so CROSS about last night.
Thanks for all the hugs & good wishes. Will try & look in tomorrow on OH's PC. Good luck to everyone abstaining or cutting down tonight x0 -
HI guy
To my fellow muskahounds who got on here before me - wow well done, for those who had a bit, then hope today goes the way you want it - and well done for thinking, drinking coffee and generally being very positive for everyone. Jo excellent on the lego building I have always been hopeless to that my son rolls his eyes now. (thanks for the pm repsond later) and arghghghghgh to 22 boys. Phew we had 5 here couple weeks ago it was crazy enough with that!!
Yeah made through the night, didn't log on later cos I was sooooooooooooo growly and grumpy - god fay get a grip!!
WB hope life is less head sore ish today, enjoy some r and r with OH - much needed, mines is up next weekend - woo hoo - he doesnt really drink but is one of those annoying folk that can take or leave anything. Hes doing a liver cleanse today as he isnt too well, so he's not going to be a v happy bunny, done one before its disgusting but you do feel much better after it.
Well done anyway - I woke up feeling like C**p again - think its the cold still lurking - I am soooooooooooooooooooo tired (and grumpy) got lots of work to do, did none, but also didn't switch my head off trying to forget how much work I haven't done.
Hope all of you are ok today, all the silliness helped yesterday - keep wondering ok, so I am vastly reduced in calories now, when do I become small and svelt like?? Thus far am puffy and spotty - hoping this is a transition!!!!!
Told you I was grumpy!!

:j :j well done muskahound buddies!!!:j :j
I felt so great this morning, had a brilliant night's sleep and got up bright and early to take DD to town, this aft I have got all my housework done and am looking forward to takeaway chinese for tea - yummm! I am however having a drink tonight, in fact I must confess I have wine in hand as I type
I will be AF again from tomorrow though, five days under my belt last week and determined to make it six next week - how does everyone fancy a challenge- maybe we could have some sort of score/tally card post that we can update every day/week to keep us all motivated? not a contest between ourselves but more an individual challenge so we can see how we are doing? tell me to shut up if you hate the idea!!:D
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend

Be nice to do a challenge - for my own motivation I have added my AFD's/month to my sig - was thinking about adding cost of a bottle wine each day to show how much I have saved too - but dunno. Anything that keeps the spirits up (bad metaphor) is a good thing by me. I got down in the dumps when I was back to AFD1 but when i looked at my diary and I had 5 days this month, it did cheer me up as normally I don't managed (didn't manage) an AFD ever. I am trying hardest to not drink alone at home as thats my worst bit I think, and to be honest the only time I drink unless I am out and thats so seldom.
Working tonight - no rest for wicked - xxxxxTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
