  • I've decided to stop boozing too, I am quite scared at how much of my debt has been built up through buying rounds at the pub! I've not been on a big night out yet - the sort where typically everyone gets smashed - so I'm yet to be tested. I hope my resolve holds strong!!!

Hello people. Wow, what a busy day on here today. Just when I'm not at work either and am too busy to check in;) .

It sounds like you're all pretty perky at the moment. I'm on day 7 at the moment :j and I'm debating whether that means I've now given up or not!! Cue scary thoughts and panic:eek: ....

Also, went to my first ever group meeting today (at the centre, not AA). I felt very nervous at first but everyone was really nice. We're certainly a mixed bag us drinkers. All sorts of folk there but all with at least that one thing in common. I really felt for a couple of them who were still in the early stages of deciding what to do and pretty distressed. It made me very glad to be where I am although I know I've lots of hurdles to get over still.

Anyway, better get in that bath (replacing one sort of liquid with another!), have a great day tomorrow everyone.

    Ali x.

    Morning

Thought I was on the wrong thread with all these formula and such. Thought I was on the Teckie board :D

Normally on a day off I would drink upwards of 17 units in one day. Last night I had 2.8 units. Got to keep to that though and make sure it does not creep up.

Watched that " Dont die young" on TV the other night and it was all about the liver and the effects of Alcohol. Made me realise what goes on in there. Scary !!!!.

I have even dusted off the Wii Fit and started exercising and I am drinking loads of water during the day.

You are all doing really well and keep it up

I can only seem to manage 2 days AF in a row. When I get to the 3rd I feel so much less tired and quite perky and also really in the mood for a drink!:o I abstained on Monday and Tuesday and last night I was on the Malibu again. I am going to try for 3 AF days next week just to see if I can do it.

Well done on your 2 weeks, Jo! (I was looking for a "we're not worthy" icon but couldnt find it!)
