Ok confession time, this party I went to yesterday - my good run came to an end as I had a glass of champagne  Just the one though as I was driving:D
Third Sunday in a row without a hangover - I could get used to this!
Leigh - sounds like you're suffering mate. I can relate to some of what you said, I've been getting mixed messages from this girl lately. It wouldnt normally bother me but I do like her quite a lot, the whole texting thing is a bit of a minefield. Women eh? Cant live with them etc etc
Not really in a position to advise but I'd go along with whats been said - just try and take it easy.
Hope everyones ok0 -

Hi All
Hope everyone is OK- just managed to check in after the (first ever?) murder in Par after the carnival- guess what guys? Word on the street (and there are only 3 streets!!!) is that a bunch of local teenagers got trashed on beer and a fight ended up with one lad dead from head injuries-they've picked a local 16 yr old girl up for stabbing the lad-just shocking, everyone is just thunderstruck, and it sounds like alcohol was to blame-makes me think the sooner this stuff gets banned the better- my little one was just transfixed by all the police helicopters, shes never seen 3 together round here. Just tragic- I know the mum of the girl they've picked up-nice family- what a nightmare, gave me loads of resolve to keep up giving up.
Winebox-Saga holidays!!!!!   I may be a reformed drunk but I don't deserve that!!!!!! My pensioner dad went on one recently (he was outnumbered 3-1 by women and they all loved him because he's got his own hair, teeth and doesn't need incontinence pads etc.) and the women are still ringing him up-he says he feels stalked!!! Bless.
Mollypolly- 15 weeks eh? Just brilliant, inspirational- I think when you do this well its so hard to even think about going back- you must be feeling great, I've never met you but I'm so proud of you!!!!!:T :T :T
Leigh- blimey, sounds like your having a tough time, I'm not very good at relationships (otherwise every boyfriend I've had would'nt have left me for thinner women!!!) but your posts are really hard to read as you sound like your really suffering- the only thing I can say is that I'd be really wary about getting involved with a drinker again- I've put my kids through enough and its taken me so long to get straight and get their trust back I just don't want alcohol in our lives again, so I can understand where shes coming from, but I know the uncertainty and not knowing where you stand can drive you stir crazy- just remember mate sobbing into your pint won't change a thing.
Bismark- no news on the biscuit front???? Thats my next project- my sis says my BMI should be 20-25 and its 27 at the moment so rather than be fat and 40 the chocs are going in the bin- any diet tips very gratefully recieved.
I think you guys are great- keep it up everyone0 -
Hi all
Well, I hang my head in shame.
After a good start last week - 2 AFD's and 3 days with just 2 glasses of red wine per night (half n half with diet lemonade - very classy) ........ I went up to Scotland to see some friends at the weekend and had a massive blow out! I even fell over - never heard of before!!
I'm actually reeaaally embarrassed about it - I have a grazed hand, a massive bruise on my knee, I've jolted my back and broken 2 nails! OK, the injuries could be worse - but this was in the street!!
I feel I've finally got to the point where I have really had enough - I didnt even enjoy the drinking - I don't want to do it anymore!! Usually around this time in the day I'm actually looking forward to a drink in an evening - I can't stand to think of it today - am just too ashamed of myself!!
Hope everyone else is doing much better!

Hey Giddy, steady on there!!! I'm not sure about the other injuries but if I broke a nail I'd be straight into detox like a shot...draw a line, some things are too precious and gorgeous nails are too important to trash when your falling over drunk..dear god, I'd rather die than chip my french polish...:rotfl:
Anyway, really sorry to hear you got in a state, usual advice really, don't beat yourself up about it, you're only human, you're on the right track, you've been trying really hard and should pat yourself on the back, you've had a blip...done my fair share of falling over trashed, its only now that I've straightened up that friends have had the guts to tell me how embarrassed they were and how awful it looked. At the time I thought everyone else was in the same state, but as it turns out, I was ALWAYS more trashed than anyone else and a real liability..if I were you I'd take some time out and avoid boozy do's for a bit, at least until you've got yourself strong and stable and confident you can keep it together..I don't know about you but I used to drink for dutch courage because things like that made me so nervous and I did'nt have the confidence to talk to people and socialise without a drink- I just had to bite the bullet for a year or two and avoid it- I don't know any other answer for it really, I just got sick and tired of being sick and tired .You can beat this you know, and get through it, honest.
Hope everyone else is OK.0 -
Hello All (and big hug to Giddy)
Just thought I would pop on to tell you that I have started the Jason Vale 7lbs in 7 days juice diet - I am looking on it as a detox programme.
I am on day two today and feeling pretty lousy as I think I am having a cleansing crisis. No cravings for alcohol at all - I am craving brown rice and salmon (??!). Should be working but too poorly and miserable so watching Time Team to relax...
Sparkly - lost my sparkle though0 -
Thanks for your replies. At least its put me off - big time!!
Eselt - I must say I wasn't overly impressed with the broken nails myself - but serves me right I guess! And you're bang on - I thought everyone else was in the same state .... but I didnt see them falling down!!
Sparklymessygirl - poor you .... is he the guy that helped Katie Price get her figure back after the babies? Sounds very hard core! Best of luck with it - hope you feel better soon.

HI eselt....biscuits are in the driving seat at the moment.....not in a bad way but struggling to adjust to the regime I want to settle into.
Re your local tragedy....it scares me more than it ever used to. I wondered if it was just me getting older but I think it's far more dangerous out than it was 20 years ago.
Gotta go....For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 20070
