I've been the same alisong, been lurking for a while but only just summoned up the courage to start posting, it really helps I think to share each others experiences
Anyway, time for bed now, catch you all soon0 -
Welcome Alisong and fieldofdreams- keep posting, we're all battling away at various stages- even if you feel like you are on your own with trying to beat the drink- you are not- everyone on this thread understands and we are all here to help and support you.
Alisong- great to here you are seriously getting soem help-its out there- youve just gotta find the type that suits and works for you. BEst of luck- Jackie0 -
Thanks for the welcome everyone. Eselt, you're right, I never thought there would be anything out there to help me and I'm so glad I've found it, I know if I hadn't plucked up courage and thought I've got no choice but to come clean I'd be in a terrible state now so I'm very grateful. The irony is I could have self referred to this completely free service years ago but I guess you have to reach a certain point to be able to admit you need help. Anyway, thanks again everybody, better get off to bed but I'll call in again tomorrow. Goodnight to you all.£2 savers club no.107 :j £36 so far.0

Morning all.
Hope everyones fit & well.
Had one can last night, so its 6/31. I enjoyed it, but DIDNT want another, but more importantly I no longer have any in the house - just need not to buy any!
I have to stop for the next month, as I`m having an op on 16th July, so need to be healthy/sober & will be using weak antibiotics afterwards, so cant drink as alcohol will kill it. Or at least thats what I am telling myself & anyone who will listen! So long as I believe.
Have asked before, but will ask again, what do you think about the goverments anti drinking ads? Have they shifted your thinking - personnally I would say yes. I am far more aware of the units, even though I knew them before.....Living debt free, since Sept 08 & Dec 10 :wall:

Morning all,
Welcome new peeps :hello:
Molly - it was a bit more fun yesterday wasn't it? - I think thats why it helped me a few months ago. It all went a bit serious for me over the last couple of weeks - hence not posting at the weekend.
The happier I am the less I drink, if I've been made to smile on here then ........:D
Best wishes everyone for a great day

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]I'd hate to be a teetotaler. Imagine getting up in the morning and knowing that's as good as you're going to feel all day.
