Buying a slow cooker (which? & why?)

thanks again just found a lid that seems to fit perfect from my big stock pot, its is glass but has a tiny hole (ment to be there )in it do u think it will be ok?trying-very-trying wrote: »If you're happy with the cordon bleu one that you have, why not try using one of your own pot lids, or even a well fitting plate will do the job. I also had that same one, and used a pot lid for several years after I broke the original lid. My daughter now has the sc and she uses a well fitting plate with no ill effects.

Can you not cook the rabbit in the oven or on the hob?0

My little slow cooker has a hole in the glass lid so I would think that your stock pot lid should be okay.
This is my little slow cooker, you can see the hole in the lid:

I don't suppose that the little hole would make a lot of difference, but the idea of the slow cooker is usually to keep the heat and any steam inside. If the casserole lid fits, I would stick with that.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0
