yeah that might work. I think its trial and error with a lot of these things.

I was thinking re casseroles, how expensive they are depends on what meat you put in them and how you pad them out. How about a sausage casserole? I chop up sausages a few vegies, mix in a tin of baked beans, then either serve it with mash or put a layer of thin sliced potato on top. That way its not vastly different from sausage mash and beans but its more economincal because it stretches further.
  • Right all three tasks pretty much done :j .

Cookies cooling ready for icing (had all ingredients so pretty much free! :money: )

Bread due to finish around 5.30

Shopping done, spent £56 inc £3 on a birthday present :T . Would like to done it a bit cheaper but I did add a couple of extra bits so overall quite pleased.

Will have to think about casserole cost. Did a sausage one iin the slow cooker a couple of weeks ago that was nice. Sausages much cheaper than chicken and beef.

  • Right I am darn fed up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    :D

Everytime I am about to post a no spend day it gets ruined! Just written out two chqs totalling £17  for two school trips. These really add up it will be interesting to see how much I end up spending on guides, brownies and school trips over the next few months.

OH was going to pay for one but hes broke.

Other than that a quiet day. Visited my sis in her new home. Looks great shame about all the stress that went with it.

Hi Wendy hope your feeling better. School is a nightmare isn't it. There always seems to be something you've got to pay for.

Well its Sunday night again, where do the weeks go?
  • Thanks GR

Im fine just one day Ill be able to post on here that I havent actually spent anything in a 24 hour period! Not easy with a family I know.

OH has really bad toothache but wont do anything about it. Im going to have to see if I can find an NHS dentist somewhere and that will cost but nevermind.

PS It has to be bad for him to feel pain over his normal painkillers and hes been mentioning it on and off for months now.

Best of luck with the Car Boot sale. I did one last October and spent more than I made. Hence me listing all the books on Amazon.

Well done on the NSD. Lately I think it's only a SUnday I manage to keep the purse closed!!!
  • Got a phonecall this morning from Newsagent. OH ran up a £100 bill:mad: . I have paid £20 off so far but keep forgetting about it. It should be and is his debt and Im annoyed they let it go on so long that got so high. They are a small company so deserve to be paid. Will pay another £20 off.

I had a nice surprise this morning and weighed myself for the fist time in ages. I was just over 11 st and am now just under. Im guessing about a 4lb loss without really trying. This :money: has some nice side effects! Im still a long way off my ideal weight but it would be nice to fit in my size 14 clothes again.

Aww Wendy you were so pleased with your no spend day then OH does that!!! You must have the patience of a Saint! It must feel very frustrating at times but every positive thing you do is steering you in the right direction.
