    Not so.

See HERE for GB advice on consumer rights, and HERE for advice on consumer rights in N.I..

No such thing as losing money if you know what the law says!
  • stupidly, i've just ordered a pair.

I was under the impression PayPal regulated all people who take payments via their system.

    Am i wrong?

Do i now have to wait for 3 weeks to find out if i've been scammed?

Anybody with an email address can open a paypal account and to start shifting money just a bank account. There is no vetting at all, why do you think there's so many scammers on ebay? It always pays to research a site you've never used before, especially one that's foreign. Personally I'd try and cancel it straight away, from what I've read elsewhere anything you receive will just be a knockoff and then it'll be a nightmare to try and reclaim your money and prove it.

  • The seller is verified, does that make a difference?

Luckily it's only £35 so not too much of a hit if it is fake. Always the possability they are just straight from the factory, end of line etc.

Or am i being too optemistic?!

We'll see, and i'll update this when i find out.

I have raised a query with paypal already, just to see where i stand and if I'll have any comeback.

    Cheers for the reply.

Being verified simply means the person exists. But are you really willing to legally challenge them in China?

Yes you are being too optimistic, there are no end of lines for the items being sold and as I've already posted the audio experts on other forums have verified the ones in photos mentioned earlier are a specific type of fake. Do you think they'd suddenly decide to sell genuine ones as well? Certainly not for the difference in price.

Put it this way, do you really want to risk buying from a chinese site with no address and practically no positive reviews anywhere?
