so its not just round my area then, often see some women driving their husband's car twice round the block just to get a space outside the school gates and if not then park with 2 wheels up on the pavement so that others with prams cant walk get round them, whats wrong with parking down the next road and walking round and getting some exercise

Why on earth do you assume its their husbands car:rolleyes:

Why do you assume it is their husbands car? Bit of an outdated attitude, isn't it?

Anyone seen the NCAP test videos at 40mph on the news of the Nissan Navaro? Apparently it only scores 1 and NCAP is recommending a recall.

Doesn't really make a lot of difference which rating any vehicle gets to be honest, they are only ever tested on dummies, still thinking about it, that may well apply to 4x4's.:D

I would love to buy a Landrover Discovery, Freelander or whatever but I can't afford it - wouldnt just use it on the roads though but would use it off road too.

Unfortunately I drive a Toyota Yaris but it is good for around town - maybe when I win the lottery or have a lot of disposable income then I'll buy one.

:rotfl: You are a fine one to talk about " wasting money " £20.000 on a car that is designed to be driven off road, and I bet like 99.9% of them, isn't.

Anyway, any vehicle is only as safe as the " nut " behind the wheel, roll on the introduction of the Special 4x4 Driving Test.;)

Mine wasn't 20k, mine was only 13k. When I used 20k earlier is was an average figure.

My 13k is not wasted, its spent on the vehicle of my choice, which I like driving. You pays your money, you takes your choice.

However these NCAP tests you mention, if they

Then surely this is just a total waste of money, why pay for tests which "as you say" - mean nothing:rotfl:

Oh no not another 4x4 driver/owner that cannot read what I said, I didn't say that they " mean nothing ", feel free to quote me, that is if you can find where I actually said that.

    It was a joke, 4x4 drivers/dummies...get it? No I thought not.:rotfl:
