NTL offering 12 months Sky sports

Hi just to let you know after reading this thread phoned Ntl we have been with them for a few years stated that sky had rung us and offered the same package we have now but with sky sports free for 12 months what can ntl offer us? Put me on hold for a few seconds came back and said they will match it. In about 5 mins from starting the phone call we were watching sky sports for free. So it is worth still trying. If you dont ask you dont get.

I currently have sky digital, so if i call NTL and enquire about switching over will they consider giving me this package?

And what does the family package consist of?

If I sign up to the basic NTL phone line I think I get access to TV, but not digital. Can I get the free sky sports on the basic package or do I have to get the phone plus the extra digital package?

I phoned NTL today and tried to get the free Sky Sports for 12 months for free only to be told that the offer had expired. I told the guy that someone I knew got the offer yesterday, he replied ' I have no option on the system anymore to grant you that offer, sorry. Best I can do is give you the family pack for 6 months at half price'

I rang Telewest today, and got free sky sports package and half price broadband for twelve months.

It's the first time I have had anything in seven years, well worth a phone call.

We have sky tv and NTL phone and broadband. I rang sky & said Ntl can do cheaperTv packages & they gave me 25% off the full package for one year (£31/mth) including all movies and sports. Took over 2 hrs to get through to sky, but used saynoto0870.com for a 01 number then used the free calls on NTL after 6pm to call sky for the discount. Worth a try, all I wanted to do was watch the H cup rugby but Sky have snaffelled most of the games.

Does anyone know what happens if I move house in the middle of the 12 month contract but the new house can't get NTL?
