Yep - go to Tourist info just near the exit door. Family day tickets are really good value.

    This link might help.

    Oooh, and this one: http://www.dublinbus.ie/fares_and_tickets/daily.asp

Had a look at various fares, found 'family tickets' and '3-day tickets' couldn't find a '3-day family ticket', does this exist? If so, what price? Thanks in advance......

I went to Dublin last year for the day on the 1p flights. You get a big blue n white coach from the Airport into town (Aircoach?) and for 2 adults and 2 kids it was £24 return IIRC, quite reasonable.

I then took the Open Top bus tour, which I'd really recommend. Hop on/off job. Did it twice it was that informative. £40 for the family IIRC.

We had lunch at a Chinese Restaurant, again around £40 for the 4 of us.

A nice cheap day out considering we flew from Prestwick for £16.08 (priority boarding, no luggage, checked in online, and at THAT time no rip-off Debit or Credit card fees).

I would recommend it to anyone who can get the 1p flights.

Ryanair seems to have made it extremely difficult to find the lowest fare by virtually removing the link where you could see the fares for up to 20 days.
  • Ok I have tried 4 different cards, all declined, phoned up same thing, they all have available funds & no amounts have been charged.
  • cool i wanted amsterdam but not for a penny :(

I find the new format of finding the cheapest flights very confusing. You have the option of clicking "Previous Week" and "Next Week" if you tick that your dates are flexible but this only shows a couple of flight options per week not the full range of flight prices for the week. The previous method of showing all flight prices within a selected range of dates was much better.

Agreed, though 'confusing' wasn't the word that sprang to mind.

Yesterday it was fine, you entered the preferred dates and clicked the 'I am flexible' box and it gave you a couple of days either way, excellent.

Today, you only get this 'previous week' and 'next week' options which take you a whole 7 days either way, but nothing in between.

They're intentionally making finding the cheapest fares very difficult.

Also of course, the 'find lowest fares' link is no longer on the homepage, and if you book from the left hand side of that page, the 'I am flexible' isn't there.

Customer friendly - what a joke.

is the only way to get the flights for 1p each way to have a passport? I don't have 1 & had to pay a £3 check in fee either way. bumped up our price for 6 to £36.12 still cheap but I wondered if there was any other way around it or should I get saving so I can take advantage of these offers more.

Yes, do it as 2 separate bookings. One for you without your passport (including the £6 charge to check-in for return journey). Then a second booking containing the other passengers with passports, who can all check-in on-line and save the extra charges.

And without meaning to state the bleedin obvious, I presume you're not booking a flight outside the UK if you don't have a passport!!

Ryanair dont serve Amsterdam at all. Easyjet do but their prices seem a lot higher than they were last year for the dates im looking at.
