No they only charge for checked in luggage, unless of course they have changed their policy recently. They tell you on the website the size you are allowed for handluggage. I wouldn't take any bigger than the size they state though as it could cost you dear if you go over
  • No you can take on one bag per person up to 10kg-size of a small suitcase.

...I don't want to be cynical on this thread, but I feel I must...

In my opinion, for every 1 person that gets a cheap 1p flight with Ryanair, there are 1000 others that start off with a good deal and end up paying for every conceivable extra that Ryanair can think of that wouldn't be classed as an extra in any sane mind. Come on, being charged £18 per suitcase and being charged for paying by DEBIT card (other than the not so popular ELECTRON card) is P A T H E T I C!

Ryanair originally took on the big, established airines and helped bring prices down accross the industry. In the present day, I find their standard of service and stafff abysmal, their current greed ASTRONOMICAL, and their pricing most of the time no better than the special offers you can find with QUALITY airlines.

I've only used them RELUCTANTLY because Stanstead is my best option airport wise. Otherwise I wouldn't touch them with an extended bargepole. Bring on the competition to bring these greedy cowboys back into line. Again, in my opinion, unless you get the cheapest total cost from them, it's worth paying a fair bit extra using someone else to save you a great amount of hassle in the long run. e.g. these guys will punish you for the minimal amount of additional weight you carry.

like anything though stick to the rules on how much weight you are allowed & you will be fine. But hey its great to have people like g10 around cause that means theres more likely to be some 1p flights left for the rest of us, thet maybe dont have oodles of cash to "pay a fair bit extra"

So you don't like them, you come here and moan at them, yet you still choose to use them?

If you really don't like them, why not travel do an airport further away?!

Your argument contradicts itself, so really doesn't carry any weight!

What are you on about? All I said I use them reluctantly. No S**t sherlock that I could use another airport.

They fly to Rome where I usually need to go and they the only airline from Stanstead to do so. Yes, I could travel to other London airport but they are much less convenient to get to and cost more to park at. Are you one of those saddo's that stay up all night to have to contradict people on forums?...

...I bet DMG24 is now scurrying away gone midnight to find me an alternative carrier to fly to Rome to from Stansted in order to put me straight. If successful, it will sincerely be most welcome.

No, I'm just wondering how you can be so against Ryanair, but use them anyway!

If you had such strong objections towards them, you would travel to another airport. In your own words:
it's worth paying a fair bit extra using someone else to save you a great amount of hassle in the long run

If you feel that way, then use another airline! Nobody is forcing you to use Ryanair.

...oh the old multiple rolling laughing face reply....now that is an original way for those who care about such trivial matters to put their point accross without any substance.

No, have you been smoking DMG24?

In the same way that you can't understand why I'm against Ryanair and only now look to use them as the very last resort and that they contribute to me not using my local airport...I ask the same of you and why you seem to be so much for them?

I think we've both taken up too much space on this forum, so I shall now leave it on that basis. Goodnight all....
