OS Daily Saturday 23rd Feb

Options
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 23rd February 2008. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning all, just off to work so thought I'd start the thread first, I hope you all have a lovely weekend (((hugs))) to Smoky, PenPin ,Donny Gal and everyone else who needs one x

    :j What a difference a day makes!!!:j

The only cloud is Smoky's news. If I was in the UK I would be hitting he M62 now, and DH would be sending me. Sleep will be hard I know mate, but try to rest. I cannot remember the ages of your kids, but is there no school/nursery friends aware of the situation who would help? ((hugs)) and prayers with you still.

They won't let DH out until all tests completed - probably Monday, he still has the "floating", "drunk" feeling though not nearly as bad, and it appears to ease after lunch each day. Just off the see him now, as open visiting as they expect the next of kin to be there. Slept in my own bed last night, and woke up able to make my own coffee (not get one from a machine).;) Once again many many thanks for your good wishes, hugs, prayers and support.

(((hugs)) also to Pen-Pin, Kyle, webitha, Tattycath, chocolate.orange and anyone else who doesnt feel over the moon.

    Take care - DG

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?
  • Morning all,
Threatening rain here today, hope it stays off until later, would love to go for a bike ride as soon as DH comes back from work. Boys are playing nicely albeit loudly upstairs!
Grabbing a quiet cuppa before starting to tidy up. Last night made beef pie and veg got inspired to make my own flaky pastry from one of the threads on here it reminded me of how much fat is in pastry:eek: How can something so bad for you taste so nice when its made into something like pastry?
Off to read up on the boards now, Hugs to all and hope everyone has a good weekend.

It's lovely and quiet here. Didn't get a very good sleep despite being worn out. This house is so dirty and I have Mum and Dad coming around later for afternoon tea. Don't knoW where to start.

Bought a TV for DS yesterday only to discover the ariel in his room is b******d, so will be getting in touch with someone today to sort it out. I can't keep asking my lovely neighbours. As it's an extention, I wonder if I can just replace it? No idea  .

It's a bit grey here but dry so shall get the washing out soon.

Off to make a start somewhere!

Have a good day all and HUGS TO SMOKEY, KYLE, PENPIN, DG and anyone else who wants one.

Smoky I am so so that the news is not better.

Plans for today are alot of running round. I'm looking after my niece and nephew today so its ballet and drama classes for part of the day while I do some shopping and then back to ours to play with DD. I did'nt do the ironing last night so I need to do that and also plant the trees I got from Aldi yesterday.

    Have a good day everyone
