not been on here in ages!! have been quietly mse but i know i can do so much better so im back! it is 16 weeks on monday until my target date? can i do well..... i hope so but i really need to get my a**e in gear. not a lot has happened recently, met a nice guy so been going out with him quite a lot and i have major prob with letting people pay for things so i must admit i have spent quite a bit more than i normally do. managed the £10 a day in april, soo pleased with myself. def trying it again for may. ebay was doing good had 36 items on a one point, i was beginning to lose track though!!! at the moment ive got three items on. going to do that today, aiming for 10 more. overtime at work seems to be picking up again, doing 2 hours tonight so thats around £35. on the down side though there's something wrong with my car, need to take it to the garage, ive got no idea how much that will be though

the stress of this overdraft and credit card have really taken their toll on me this week and i have just discovered the interest rate on my overdraft is about to go up. ive been feeling so depressed that i haven't got any closer to paying these off. so today i have applied for a loan.
i got a settlement figure on my exisiting loan - £10,355.59, overdraft - £2500 and credit card - £1000. TOTAL = £13,855.59
i have now taken out another loan of £13,500. interest rate is 6.9% which is a lot better than the 18.8% i was going to start paying on my credit card in august and the 19.9% that my overdraft was going to go up to.
i have now added another year onto my debt free date however i feel like an enormous weight has been lifted from my shoulders. i am completely aware that im not debt free but once i begin to pay just one thing ever month i will feel like i am.
im now going to review my savings accounts to ensure i have the best possible and for the 1st time in my life im going to save for things like holidays rather than spend money on credit and worry about it later. my new outlook is if i dont have the money then i dont have item!!

What a lot has been happening since I was reading this last. I must admit I'm taking the slower route to paying off my debts as found I just couldn't stick to a strict budget. Giving myself some money to spend makes it easier to not spend which sounds stupid but I know what I mean.long haul no 65:sad:

hi kika i no exactly what you mean! if you're too strict with yourself then you fall off the wagon, i'm the exact same!
not a lot has been happening on the debt front recently. reduced my overdraft from £2,500 to £100 when my loan came through. at the moment i'm using all £100 of it but my friend owes me £60 so that'll pay some of it off. don't have any other debt at all at the moment (other than the loan of course!) with this loan there is no benefit of overpaying as this just goes towards the interest so girl @ loans department advised to pay into a savings account then pay the loan off early using that. going to open a halifax regular saver tomorrow. i like the idea of the reg saver as i know i can get access to the money if i'm desperate but that means going to the bank and closing it down which i'm far too lazy to do! i might also look into opening a new current account as well.
only working a half day today and won't be taking any money with me (as i don't have any!!) then going to watch a friends dancing show this evening, hoping her mum can drop me off to save petrolshe wants me to go out afterwards but def can't afford it and would rather come on here!
need to try and get some more ebay stuff on, things haven't been selling so well for me recently and i lost the motivation but i've got 7 items on just now it with 6 bids totally £11.60 with 3 days to go so things are getting back on track!

i've managed not to spend any money so far today so that's good. my friend paid £70 into my account today (didn't think she would remember the other £10 but she did!!!) so acc is now £30 overdrawn instead of £100. off work tomorrow so going to write a list of everything that i need to do and hopefully keep myself busy so i can't spend any money. payday on monday, can't wait!!

You're doing well, unfortunately I've got nothing for ebay but you're doing well.long haul no 65:sad:

managed to get another 7 things on ebay, scheduled 5 of them to start on thur tho for 10 days so they finish a week on sun so hopefully with 2 weekends in there i should make some pennies. got 7 items finishing tonight, everytime i check it there's been no bids so im not going to look until tonight.
just realised i got paid yesterday, my mums asked me to go shopping with her today, need to buy envelopes & things for ebay and some toiletries as well, hopefully not too much else.
been doing lots of overtime at work the last few months so got a bit extra in my wages this month. opened up a new savings account yesterday so now i have 4 all for different things, hope this can keep me right!

4? Thats a good idea I've only got 1 and a notebook so I can try to keep track. Are they all with the same place?long haul no 65:sad:

i've got 2 with the halifax, 1 with a&l and 1 with birmingham midshires! they're all for different things, christmas, holidays/days out, my car (mot, tax etc) and the other is so i can hopefully pay of my loan early one day. so when it comes to holidays/christmas i'm only going to spend whats in that account and if it's not there then i go without! (if it was 1 acc i'd get confused!!)
ended up spending £80.34 yesterday  im taking back a pair of jeans though as i really don't need them so that's £20 back. the rest was spent on rubbish!! im so mad with myself. i am definately not going shopping for fun again because it's definately not fun when i sit here filling in my spending diary and realise i may as well have threw my money away.
i will need to pick up something for dinner later, get some petrol, pick up somemore packaging i forgot yesterday and then post ebay items. so definately not a NSD for me

i'm unfortunately going to have a little unexpected spends this month. my gran sadly passed away yesterday so there will be flowers and things to buy but i don't care, will try hard to keep an eye on things but she was great so i don't mind if i go a little over the top. spent quite a bit in morrisons yesterday and then £10 in pets at home and £10 in halfords, just wanted out the house and rather going for a nice walk i went shopping, will i ever learn??? going into work today to keep myself busy and stop myself spending even more money i don't have. hopefully it's just lunch i need to buy today.
