Hi Carrie - how are you???

It sounds like you've had a really productive day - did you manage to get all your list of items done?

The photo album idea sounds great, so many places are selling cheap photo albums, and then you can turn it into something special for next to nothing. I like being all arty and making my own gifts, do you have a Hobbycraft near you? they do loads of lovely bits - however i don't think they are that cheap.

How's the spending diary going? I'm lovin' mine, its really good. I do get bored easily though, so the fun of writing it in the diary and seeing the graphs will probably be too much for me by next week :rotfl:, bad Hayley.
  • hi hayley im doing good thanks how are you? almost managed to get all my items done (except t-mobile, don't think it would work out any better!!) had a look on the gambling boards but it seems a bit complicated!! got 26 items on ebay at the moment and im addicted to checking it!

only got £3 in my purse until payday (wed), need to pay postage for one ebay item so reckon i'll have about 50p left after that! might need to dip into my sealed pot as ive got 2 items im waiting on payments on. still got some asda vouchers left so going to go there after work and pick up some more envelopes and getting something for dinner at work for tues and wed.

took more pics for ebay items so going to try and get a few more bits on tomorrow, also need to take a skirt back that a bought a couple of weeks ago. its really nice but ive not really been going out lately so itll probably be hanging in the wardrobe for sometime and anyway it'll make me feel better to be £20 closer to paying of my debts!!!

  • just checked my ebay account and two more items have sold! im loving this! i would probably have thrown all this stuff out but it feels so good that im actually making money from it! unfortunately im going to have to dip into my sealed pot to get some cash to post the items. i feel a bit guilty for taking the money out there but i know its going somewhere useful at least now i know i definately won't be dipping into it for something stupid like a bar of chocolate, imagine how guilty id feel then!!

didn't take my skirt back today as i realised once id got to the shop that i didn't have my credit card with me (have put this away in a safe place at home so im not tempted!!)that i had used to buy it and didn't want a credit note instead so will need to do that tomorrow when i go to the post office.

NSD today!! except from the ebay postage but thats ok, hoping for the same again tomorrow. off to do some surveys and put more on ebay!

Hey, well done with all the ebay sales, your doing brilliantly Carrie.

Good idea keeping the credit card out your purse, then you won't be able to resist temptation and buy things. I really did miss my credit card when i first got rid, going in River Island was never the same after that, i was never able to buy anything - bohoo!! I do feel better now though, buying things i couldn't really afford was never good,

Have you managed to sell anymore bits on ebay?
  • hi, the ebay is doing great, managed to sell something everyday this week, yeah!!! off work again tomorrow so going to spend the day doing that again. i love the feeling of logging on and seeing something has sold even if it is only 99p!

forgot to take my lunch into work today and feel quite gutted. in the past i wouldn't have thought twice about going to mcdonalds and spending £4 on lunch but those days are well and truely gone. decided to treat myself to a subway. when i went in i saw the sub of the day was the meatball one which im not a fan of and discovered the other subs were £2.99 each. so i just went to asda and bought a sandwich for 88p and it was great!!!

took my skirt back today and didn't even browse as i would have been so tempted but this month is going to be tight coz 1st thing tomorrow morning im going to reduce my overdraft when ive worked out my monthly outgoings. ive been really good this week and ive now realised that as long as i set myself a realistic budget then i can do it, so this month im giving myself a budget of £250 that i can spend on daily things (going out, clothes, food etc) ill put £50 of that in a savings account though and try to stick to the £200 but ill know its there for back up. i also pay my ebay postage out of this so when i transfer the money from my paypal account it goes straight to my debt. once the £250s gone its gone coz i wouldn't have any spare overdraft left to spend (thank goodness!)
