hi everyone. i've been reading this forum for a long time now and everyone is so friendly and helpful. i recently joined up but have been having problems logging in, so i've had to make up new details. at the moment my debts are pretty manageable but i'm hoping to go to college in september and hope to be rid of them by then (except my loan which is gonna be with me for a LONG time). i started off the new year with the best intentions but now i seem to be in an even worse situation. i've decided to start a new diary as i feel the only way to stay on track is to write everything down and that way i can see where i am going wrong.
i've just been paid today however my account is still £928.26 overdrawn  it has never been like this before and i seriously need to get it together. hopefully my monthly outgoings are going to be as follows:
loan - [strike]£190[/strike] - PAID!
insurance - [strike]£55[/strike] - PAID!
petrol - [strike]£90[/strike] - PAID!
rent - [strike]£105[/strike] PAID!
phone - [strike]£35[/strike] - PAID!
bank account fee - [strike]£5[/strike] - PAID!
interest - [strike]£10[/strike] - PAID!
monthly savings account - [strike]£50[/strike] - PAID!
a&l savings - [strike]£25[/strike] - PAID!
isa - [strike]£50 [/strike] - PAID!
rbs cc - [strike]£40[/strike] - PAID!
[strike] halifax cc - [strike][strike][strike]£366.71[/strike][/strike][/strike] £285 (£81.71)[/strike] - PAID!!!!!!
i'm going to transfer £200 to my other account and this is my "spending money" (food, going out, clothes etc). was planning on a nsd today but i'm gonna need petrol and some food shopping
need to get moving or i'll be late for work, going to try and sort my signature out so i now exactly where i am. if i'm going to cler my debts by sept i will need to pay approx £443.70 towards these every month. don't know if i can realistically do this but im gonna give it my best shot!!!
take care xXx

Hi carrie,
Welcome to debt free wannabe, in your SOA you will need to put interest rates & if you have them possibly outstanding balances, also try the snowball calculator & the spending diary, when you put all the interset rates etc. onto your SOA then the good people on the forum will come along and give you a lot of help to become debt free. Once again welcome and good luck

thanks sparky i've sat down now and gone through all my paperwork and added all interest rates etc onto my signature. i'm trying to sort out a balance transfer for my cc as interest free finishes on 1st march then it'll go up to 16.9%. ive got another with rbs but i wouldn't be able to transfer the full balance over so the halifax one is going to my 1st challenge.
when i've gone through everything i've now realised i'll need around £475 every month to have these debt cleared in time for college. from my wages this month i've worked out i'm going to be £255 short of my target so i'm going to try and make this up from ebay, quidco, surveys etc. also going to look into mystery shopping and hopeully start doing that soon.
had a lsd today just £1.13 in asda (spent £28.15 on petrol as well but don't feel too bad about this as i've already accounted for it) would love a nsd tomorrow but have arranged dinner and drinks with a friend so sadly not.

hi hope everyone is doing ok today. managed to have a nsd day so far today but that will change this evening. went through my wardrobe last night and now i've got lots to sell on ebay, managed to put about 8 items on last nite will have to try and do some more tomorrow. also need to look into sell on amazon.
i've been reading on other posts about bingo, do i need to deposit my own money onto these sites before i can make any money (sorry if thats a silly question) im wouldn't b 2 happy putting in my details coz ive been known to spend quite a bit on these kind of sites in the past and would probably end up spending more than i make!
just put all my info into www.whatsthecost.com and it show i'll be debt free in 41 months if i watch wot im doing! i no that sounds like ages away but i'll only be coming up for 26 then so it's not 2 bad!

just checked my online banking and my credit card balance transfer has gone through :j , was a little worried about it! my debt balance has gone up slightly because of the bt fee but is for the best in the long run. only have £366.71 on halifax credit card (@16.9% ) which hopefully will be cleared by next month.
i no its not exactly moneysaving but im putting a small amount away each month into a monthly savings account (@7%) as i think when it comes to tackling the overdraft (my next challenge after halifax cc) i will need to pay a big chunk off it to begin as in the past i have always found it quite easy to dip into this again.

Hi Carrie!!
Well done on keeping your spending down! thats the one i struggle with most lol!
I've got a similar amount of debt to you and snowballing has really helped me! helped me focus on where my money has to go and when!
pop over to here and it'll tell you all you need to know about the bingo. You just deposit your money to get your winnings out and immediately withdraw it again. I've won over £100 this month and i'm wouldnt spend a penny of my own on it! It all works out as free cash which is fab:) the £10 a day thread would help you loads to achieve your target every month!Aug £10 a day £0/£10000 -

well done on the NSD's!!! i'm trying to aim for 3 a week think it might be hard! sometimes u go for a while without a win for bingo but its free money!!:AAug £10 a day £0/£10000 -
Well done on your NSD's and good luck going for the hattrick tomorrow. If you have a microwave at work you can take leftover dinners in for lunch. Thats what I do for DH and its effectively free food.
well done for sorting out your sig and snowball, its all great motivation.0 -
hi guys
managed to spend only £17.11 in asda yeseterday to stuff to last until thurs. im so chuffed normally i would spend £30-£40. even got the girl to put my change on one of those christmas savings cards. now that i've got my shopping in i shouldn't need to spend anything until fri. 6 NSD's in a row would be fantastic! normally im climbing the walls if i don't spend something everyday. im really getting into this though coz most challenges i set myself i end up getting bored and quit after a while but i am determined this time. lunch today is lasange which i've got from the freezer.
take care xXx0
