im really struggling with this and i no i don't have anyone to blame other than myself. my problem is that i just can't seem to say no. my friends and i have gotten into the habit of going for lunch/dinner, the pics, bowling, the pub etc etc everything that costs money!! ive always struggled to make friends in the past and think that ive used money to "buy" my friends. (i know that sounds so sad but thats the way it is) whenever i go out for lunch with my friends i always offer to pay, i don't know why, think it started a while ago when i was desperate for them to like me. its gotten to the stage now where i feel as though everyone expects it from me which in turn then makes me feel angry and then sad that its gotten to be like this. im rambling on now so me thinks i should just stop!
had a nsd day today as ive bought all my lunches for the week. at the moment i have £5.50 in my purse so that should do me until payday woohoo!
just remembered i have to pick up a prescription from the doctors tomorrow so that'll set me back £6odds  . still have £6.50 in my bank account so should hopefully get away with using my card for it.
got my car insurance renewal quote in today. payments are going down to £48.30 a month (had a look at some other insurance companies, most were around this price but had to pay double the 1st month so seems best to stay where i am). going to call them tomorrow though as at the moment my mum and dad are both named drivers on m policy but when i was looking through the other companies i found it would be cheaper if i didn't have them on there at all. they don't really use the car anyway so hopefully this will work out cheaper if i get them off.
Also need to call t-mobile and see if i can change my tariff. can't do this for the 1st 6 months but im sure its around the 5/6 month mark. at the moment im on the £180 flex thingy where i get calls and texts up to the value of £180 but im lucky if i even use half of this, so hopefully be able to reduce this also.
get paid on thursday this week and should have a small bonus for all my hard work over the last few months, can't wait to see how much it is!0 -
couldn't pay my cheques into the bank on sunday so will need to do that today then go & get my prescription (roughly £6.50  ). hopefully that will be my only spend for today as i'll be taking my lunch into work with me.

managed not to spend anything yesterday, other than the prescription (£6.85!!!). off work today so going to have a real go at the ebaying and see if i can make a few pennies. not planning on going out today so should be a nsd! phoned up car insurance company and reduced this years payments to £48 by taking my mum and dad off as named drivers!

loan - [strike]£190[/strike] - PAID!
car insurance - £55
petrol - [strike]£85[/strike] - PAID!
rent - [strike]£105[/strike] - PAID!

a&l savings -[strike] £10[/strike] - PAID!

worked out ill need to put £740 towards my overdraft/cc for these to be paid off before i start college. been thinking about getting a weekend job in asda or tesco coz even with all the overtime at work i don't think ill be able to make my target but im giving it my best shot!

didn't leave the house again today so another nsd!! been listing like mad on ebay, got 22 items on at the moment, no bids yet but fingers crossed! going out for brothers gfs birthday tomorrow night, dinner and drinks. might drive though as im not really in the mood to get drunk, which is what always happens even when i say im only having a few!

ended up not takin the car last night and got rather tipsy. spent £44.30 which i don't think is 2 bad considering that was taxis, dinner (with a lot of wine!) and a round of 5 drinks. ive not been out for a while so i dont think that was too bad.
need to go to asda (vouchers!) today for meals for work for next week. just found out the interest rate on my overdraft is 13.35%, so goin to change that so ill only be pay 6.25%. also means the £5 every month will be cancelled as well. going to try and ebay some more items today as well!

Hi Carrie
Well done with all you have achieved so far - you are doing great. It can be hard, but don't beat yourself up for spending money when you go out, we all need a break at times - sounds like you had a great time last night.
I totally get what you mean about buying your friends. I just want everybody to like me so do offer to pay for a lot of things when we go out - luckily my friends noticed so now always stop me paying - unless it my turn!
I shall look forward to following your diary
Hayley

havent been on here for ages and really need to start making the effort again. not been speaking to my folks for about 2 months now, (even though we live in the same house) and it is becoming more and more unbearable. i definately can't afford to buy and renting in this area is around £350 a month which i don't think i would be able to manage either. i have my name on the housing list for a council house but that will take FOREVER. im so depressed living here. oh well best not moan it could be worse!
off work today and have just managed to talk myself out of going to the shop to buy a sandwich for lunch, will just wait until mum and dad go to work and make myself something from the cupboard. hopefully going to have a nsd now! its my grans birthday next week, going to buy her dressing gown or pjs from asda as i still have vouchers for there so might pop down later.
started the april £10 a day challenge but i was so tired when i got home from work yesterday i went straight to bed so didn't do any surveys or anything. need to get a move on. i always start these challenges but never see them through to the end but im determined to do it this month. also started the MAD ebay challenge and so far ive made over £90 (my target is £1000 before september). its 5p insertion day on ebay tomorrow so im going to prepare everything today so its ready for when i come home from work tomorrow.
ive asked to change my shifts at work. hopefully will be finishing at 10pm from now on as this will mean at least a 15% increase in my wages which would be great. overtime at work has dried up and im really going to notice in aprils wages. i was going to try and save some money from the this month but i only have £40 left to spend between now and pay day (on the 23rd) so i don't think thats going to happen.
just off to clear out my bedroom and see what i can put on ebay!!
