Ethel Austin sell 2 for £5. They are just average sizes and don't offer a lot of support but they are really soft and comfy. They're great for slouching around at home in.

I pay more for "going out" bras though.
Here I go again on my own....

As someone with the opposite problem, I have just bought a fantastic couple of bras from Primark! They have gel inserts (chicken fillets) and fit perfectly and wash up great! Mr frizzs eyes were on stalks when I tried it on for him. :D

A lot of my 'luckier' friends swear by the bras at Primark as well.

    Good Luck.

For years I only bought bras from M&S but no longer. I'm a 34C so it shouldn't exactly be difficult to get a bra to fit me but M&S has been a dead loss for years now.

I recently bought two Triumph bras in a 20% off sale at my local ladies dress shop, they are blissful. Also two value bras from Tesco, which are not at all bad and ludicrously cheap - £4 for the 2 if I recall correctly.

A well-fitting bra gives you confidence and helps you look great. I think Trinny and Susannah are absolutely right in the emphasis they place on this. If you are a larger lady and need a more expensive bra then it is undoubtedly a great investment, but equally if you can find what you need at Primark (must check that out!) then why not? It's all about fit, comfort and prettiness - price is immaterial

I have a tiny back but big boobs (30G - yes, I know it's a ridiculous size!). Bravissimo are absolutely fabulous: I've been able to buy all sorts of pretty things there. I still have problems with bra straps slipping off my shoulders after a couple of months - my shoulders are quite small - but at least I have finally found somewhere that stocks my size!!!

    hi there

I agree with M&S they have some pretty stuff - but anything above a D and there is nothing that fits properly and doesn't look like i have had several bandages wrapped around my chest (the idea is to flatter with underwear - not hide unless we specifically ask for that - just incase anyone from M&S is listening).

I have bought from Bravissimo and Figleaves and the service has been excellent. You can speak to the people over the phone and get actual advice. For example, if the one you want isn't in stock, the lady at the end of the phone can advise what has a similar fit etc....

postage is expensive, but means I don't have to trail round the shops and can try them on at home. they also arrive really quickly usually.

    I can't fault either company.

M&S have been hopeless for a couple of years now. I finally got sick of narrow straps nearly cutting my shoulders in half (the straps stay the same width whether you need a B cup or a FF) and stopped going there.

    Have you tried here

they have some lovely bras and at decent prices too.

I would highly recommend https://www.midnightliaison.co.uk - their customer service is absolutely top-notch.

Other good places for larger sizes are https://www.simplybe.co.uk and https://www.discountworld.co.uk

I hate Evans bras with a vengeance - in 20 years of shopping there I've only ever managed to find two bras that fitted well and were attractive. The majority of them seem to have no support, and I'm sure their sizing is wrong as I can pick up a bra in my size in there and the cups will seem to be about half the size that they should be.

I know that no-one wants to wear a granny bra, but the best bra that I have ever found (and I have bought dozens of them over the years) is the Triumph Doreen - it's not the prettiest of bras, but the support is fantastic and it's comfy.

One tip I have for larger busts - don't buy bras that have fabric straps (if you see what I mean - like camisole straps and suchlike) - go for bras with the stretchy semi-elasticated straps that go from the cup to the back - they are far more supportive, whereas the fabric strapped ones have a tendency to allow your boobs to gravitate downwards towards your waist as the day goes on, with the back of the bra riding up between your shoulders.

I only buy bras from Debenhams now after being measured there and finding out that I've been wearing the wrong size for years. The woman walked in with some bras to try on and I was amazed at how different I felt wearing a bra that actually fit me perfectly.

The T-Shirt bras are so flattering and are £14 well spent imo. I wear nothing else now :D;)

Right, since things have slowed down here now I'll move this from from OS to I Wanna where there should be more helpful posts to join in.

OMG!! That brought back memories! I ended up wearing the 'Doreen' when I was pregnant/breastfeeding as I couldn't get maternity bras in my size. Must be THE most unsexy garment EVER in the history of lingerie!!!!
