Never buy them because I would eat the whole pack in about 5 mins.Suffice to say I've bought it twice now telling my son we're going to try it instead of his favourite - and eaten it all myself before he got to try any!
So pleased it is not just me that does that then!!0 -
I would recommend making your own trifle and instead of using whipped cream try the 3p strawberry value whip (like angel delight) its very nice and soooo cheap!! Also would like to say that their value pasta sauce 27p is lovely although a little sweet in taste. I am on a very tight budget and cook for 6 every day so I dont have any choice really although coffee,t-bags & toilets rolls are branded and a few other items - most of what I buy is value, the cleaners for toilet & kitchen are no different from branded although bleach is very diluted. Best buys for value products are pasta sauce, tinned tuna, cookies(most of biscuit range), tinned fruit, strawberry whip & jellies(8p, just add some gelatine to thicken) & cake mixes 27p (make 2 packets and 2 eggs with added water) the cake mixes are lovely!!!Comp wins 2013:160 finish quantum tabs, 2xtickets private screening of prisoners(Jake n Hugh 2)

TV tinned sweetcorn is great.
Bought the mayonnaise today - might be OK mised with pesto for the kids but I shan't be eating much of it - which is probably a good thing actually!0 -
my Mum has tummy problems and can only drink the TV tea bags, she loves them..... so I buy a box for the cupboard for when she visits. I only drink them out of desperation though, I think they are terrible!2011: £10 Sports Direct Voucher, Peppa Pig Wii Game, Trivial Pursuit Card Game, £100 Chat magazine win, Dance workout dvd, Grease wii game,0

We like these:
TV Tinned custard 5/5, can't tell the difference and is much cheaper
TV rice pudding, 4/5 my daughter likes this although i prefer the more expensive ones
TV mini trifles & cheesecake 5/5 definitely a bargain
Also TV bananas, but need to check the pack as they can be a bit variable in age, but even if a few aren't great they are still cheaper then others.0 -
Sorry for late update!
Breakfast:
- Peanut butter on toast - see Thursday lunch.
- Tuna sandwich - see Wednesday dinner.
- Scotch pancakes - Very bland and not at all tasty. 0/5, 32p for 6.
Chicken stirfry - unfortunately Tesco don't do a value stir-fry sauce, so we had to use a Blue Dragon sauce. Stir-fry was very tasty. 5/5.
- Savoury rice sachet - as good as normal rice. 5/5. 22p.
- Chicken breast - hardly cheaper than normal chicken. Tasted a bit bland. 3/5. £6.89 kg.
- Frozen stir-fry vegetables - I'm sure half of it disappeared during cooking, but otherwise tasted fine. 3/5. £1.09.
