When you won't pay 5p for a carrier bag in M & S, I treat myself to one of their melting choc puddings once a month, so I bought an item of clothing, you get a free bag with clothing, then went and bought the puddings in the foodhall, took the item of clothing back for a refund, free bag....alot of hassle for 5p, but every little helps.

Walk 10 minutes further to buy a four pack of kitchen roll in Wilkinsons for 79p to save you buying the Tesco value Kitchen Roll at £1.05.

Walk another 10 minutes in the opposite direction to Iceland to buy a 2 litre bottle of milk at £1.10 instead of paying £1.34 for the same thing in Tesco.

Walk home, looking like a packhorse cause I won't pay the 80p bus fare, its only 4 stops.

This one is naughty...I bought a pair of curtains in the sale online, OH was eating a dough ball and the garlic butter splattered onto the faux silk curtains, I couldn't remove the stain and I was devastated, I spent £80 on a sale pair of curtains and they were ruined, I ordered another pair and re wrapped the stained pair and sent them back.....I would never have done that in the past, but the dry cleaners said the stain probably wouldn't come out and they wanted £25 to dry clean them.

Slightly off subject but this recipe is even better than the M&S melting middle chocloate puds

I usually chill overnight and then cook for a bit longer, it makes the outside more solid so that they are easier to turn out and keeps the inside runny

its the cat food one that got me i used to have a cat he loved tuna but i always said it was too expensive so he got whiskas !!!!!! was i thinking ...think i should go get another cat now to try to make up for it lol

i would get another cat and feed it tuna - better than the special prescription food for the last cat with food allergies - but now i live in a house with cream carpets troughout. yes i live near an animal shelter and could get a free cat, but i have a house that came with free new white carpets....i cant afford muddy paw prints!!!!!

Thanks for that, I'll try that receipe over the weekend, I made Delia's melting puddings before christmas and they were solid in the middle:mad: and they took me ages to make, this receipe looks far easier and cheaper to make than Delia's.

When you search comparison engine for the cheapest insurance/energy deals then put the diffrence from what your paying now into your snowball calculator to see how much it changes your DFD.

    • When you play the 'MPG' game - driving at 56mph everywhere, and coasting down every surface that remotely resembles a slope to see how high an average MPG you can get the little computer thingy to display by the time you get to the end of the tank!
    • Being sad enough to work out that by doing the above means that in a month, by getting our average from 38.5MPG to 45.6 we've saved £63.29 on our normal petrol bill of £400!
    • Getting irate at other drivers who accellerate towards a roundabout then brake hard, and tut, saying things like 'they won't get there any faster', or 'do they not realise how much fuel they're wasting?'. Thereby sounding VERY much like your dad!
  • Sorry to say I dislike your post Pandapaws

You know you're a DFW when you apend half an hour and 7 nail polish remover wipes to clean the sticky label off a box you received a present in last Christmas because it is perfect for another gift. And don't mind not being able to remove the black paint from your fingers for 3 days!
