I don't recognise it... Is a beautiful dress though... Strange she can't supply pictures if she got married in it in November!

Is it not close enough you could go and see it in person?
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Sadly not. I'll keep watching, and if the price is right I might take a chance and bid.

She may have got it from a shop that sells dresses made in China - there's a shop near me that does that.

Do you know how long it is? It doesn't look as if it would be easy to alter the size due to all the embroidery.
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

An update on my dress from Landy, got an email last Friday to say it should be finished 1st July (today) then it will be checked over before sending it to me. So fingers crossed it's ok this time and it should be with me by weekend after next, which was the absolute latest I told them I needed it by.

In the meantime I have called all the local bridal shops to see if they have a sample of either of the dresses I liked, that they would sell at a reasonable price, the only ones I could find though were not in gold, just white. Some of the bridal shops said they had a dress very similar to what I was after, which was Maggie Sottero Michelle, and after seeing pics of it, it is pretty much what I was trying to create by mixing the 2 dresses I already chose! Anyway, I have now located a 'Michelle' in my size and colour, which someone wore for their wedding and is willing to sell it for £250 and they are happy to wait until my dress arrives from Landy so I can see if it's ok or not, then if not I will purchase the Michelle and hopefully be getting a refund from Landy, which will go towards this one.

So at least I have a back-up plan now. I have my fingers crossed that the Landy dress will be everything it's meant to be this time, but if it isn't then I have another dress on stand-by. It is more than I budgeted for, but for the sake of having a dress that is what I wanted, and it will be an original not a copy, then I can stretch to the extra money for it.
  • Thanks for the update, Honeypop.

It's good to hear that you have all your based covered, but I have everything crossed for you that the Landy dress is perfect this time.

I really hope it is fab when it arrives. Good to have a back up plan just in case. I feel nervous for you now, and excited too. I am wanting to order mine from Landy, but am still not quite decided which one.

I have just bought my dress from another ebay company, 'just pretty bridal'. It is http://www.alfredangelounitedkingdom.com/Collections/ProductDisplay.aspx?style=1645 and for my maid http://www.alfredangelounitedkingdom.com/Collections/ProductDisplay.aspx?productID=33f34cb2-a85c-459f-86b2-9ecc718c59eb&categoryID=d541eccf-be63-4c88-8404-b9a6f5e77d88&pg=1 for the 2 of them plus p&p was £241! Just goes to show the mark up! I did look at using landy but with just pretty you get the official dress not a copy. The down side is it isn't made to measure so I will need to have alterations done. Anyone know a good cheap seamstress in Herts?

I know one in Hemel, where in Herts are you?

Edit: I looked at Just Pretty Bridals for the AA 1136, and although it would have been cheaper from them, they couldn't answer many questions about it or show me any photos, so I didn't feel comfortable ordering from them. Don't forgot also, that you'll probably pay import duty on the dresses from USA, although it would still workout cheaper than buying here!
