Very exciting, Dizzy!! I get so excited when everyone's dresses arrive!

Every now and then I remember and do a little jig in my chair with excitement! :j:dance:
  • I've seen reports from lots of happy Just Pretty customers.

I guess it depends how 'attached' you are to having the original, or if you a willing to have a dress that is subtly different...

o get to so would love to hear your reccomendation honeypop.

I was sooo tempted to go with landy but as my h2b didn't want me to buy from abroad I didn't want to take such a risk and get the 'I told you so'! lol At the same time I refuse to pay the prices in the shops here when the price tag says one thing then they are saying 'of course it will then be £106 to alter the length and a minium of £70 to alter the corset.' !!!!!!! [I was not impressed!] Sorry rant over! I tried the dress on in a shop and then realised they would be buying in the dress and it would be EXACTLY the same as if I bought it from USA and they then just bump the price up. So thats what I did and now I just gotta wait for it to arrive and source the alterations which I am sure will be cheaper than the prices they gave me as well!!

I had a quote for alterations from a lady when I went trying on dresses in a shop, can't remember what she quoted as I decided not to go with that dress in the end but it must have been reasonable as I'm on a really tight budget and thought it was ok. I will PM you her details when I get home. I will be using her if I need any alterations to my Landy dress when it arrives, and also my SIL2B is using her to alter the bridesmaids dresses for her wedding (I am a bridesmaid).

Alternatively, my mum got her dress altered at Pearces Pins in Hemel a couple of years back, they were excellent, will see if I can find their number for you too.

On the subject of my Landy dress, it was meant to have been sent Tuesday but got an email saying they hope to send it today, they are sending it express so should take 3-4 days she said. Hopefully it will be here next week, although last time it took 14 days to arrive. I am much more nervous this time knowing they messed it up last time, but hopeful that it will be ok because this whole kerfuffle is making me want to turn up on the big day in my comfy pyjamas!

I wasn't charged any duty I think Landy put something like cleaning cloths on the customs form on the parcel. I still don't see how she got my dress in such a small package though :rotfl:
